I'm not real familiar with his team in the Q. What type of coach is he? Defensive? Offensive? I've only really heard about his parking lot exploits, etc..

I don't follow the Remparts very much, but the few games I saw, they looked like a pretty solid defensive team with a lot of speed on the rush to generate their scoring chances. Not a "trap" type team, but defensively responsible (from what I saw anyway).

I simply don't like his attitude... It's not even about coaching.

Yeah, his constant whining about missed calls by the refs are the very definition of a winner.

Well if its true, it should at the least be interesting. Maybe Molson will go out and get him a couple more players to help him out. Scotty Bowman couldn't coach this current team.

I'm sure they will bring back Jacques Martin just for you. God forbid your viewing experience should disturbed by someone with flare and passion.

Anyone knows if Piqueur uses the Champlain bridge?

Because if he does, I think we'll have a pissed off Piqueur on our hands today!

I get what your saying... but I think there's more to it than that.

Team identify is carved by playing to your strengths. Clearly the current 23 man roster is not constituted to play the way Boston plays.... but they do have strengths. Not making excuses but being relatively young means they'll have trouble with consistency.. and regardless of who was in the line-up over the past 3+ years with Wilson, there was little consistency there large because the system was either too complex, particularly for the young defenders OR because the personalities didn't buy what Wilson was selling.

This is why I've never understood why Kadri was repeatedly sent down. Yes he turned the puck over, but usually did so trying to manufacture offence... which I believe was his strength in Jr hockey. So you draft a guy 'cause he can score then put handcuffs on him to turn him into a third line grinder... I'm guessing that isn't the best resource management.

Similarly they seem to have taken a shutdown guy like Schenn and sent him mixed signals. Actually, not dissimilar to Komisarek... these guys are what they are ... and they really can be expected to fundamentally change what got them to where they are overnight. Can they improve absolutely, everyone can... but only in the appropriate framework.

They acquire Franson... similar story different particulars. Don't play him out of the gate... and now "with the season on the line" you got to believe that playing him would give them a better to chance to win than Komisarek. What do they do... sit the guy.

So they are either giving Komisarek one last chance to show something OR they are mailing it in quietly. I hope its both.

The goalies have been poorly managed since Wilson arrived. Overplaying one guy, not playing someone else enough or at all. Changing starters without an approach simply confuses everyone.

So all in all, if it wasn't for these few factors, Leafs wouldn't suck.

Oh, so even if the Bolts play one of the most boring system in the league, coupled with the fact they blow chunks, you enjoy watching a coach make all kinds of silly (frank)ing faces behind the bench?

To each his own, I guess.
