I really hope the Flyers take out nearly 2 years worth of aggression on Boston Saturday afternoon. It's St. Patty's and their fans are going to be rowdy. That's a fragile team over there in Beantown. They kicked us so many times when we were down, that I hope the Flyers step on their throat and put a nail in their coffin. I don't know if you guys have looked at the standings lately. That team is dangerously close to falling out of a playoff spot, let alone the #2 seed.

This! Yes! I'll be at the game, hope I don't get punched in the face.

no. podsednik has an option, so there's no rush to make a move there.

I think the true test for Bryzgalov is to see how he handles himself now that the streak is over. Hopefully he truly is locked in and comes back next game just as strong.
- funmaster18

Keeping playing him. He is the guy at this point. Bob should get maybe two/three more starts the rest of the season.

Pierre has been horrible during spring training. I think Podsednik is going to make the Phillies roster.

Doesnt really matter cause neither will be anything more than a bench player. Both are at the end of their careers.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with Bill. Last night there were times when the Flyers were completely dominate, including on defense. Then there were times they had defensive lapses like in the first period, and right after the first goal. But all in all I think they put together another solid performance. Your not going to be able to shut down every team defensively every night. I think the Flyers are definately moving in the right direction come playoff time.

If that. I think he knows he couldn't have done anything with those 2 goals. I think he will be fine and play his best hockey this weekend. They could have easily lost that game last night. But they dug deep and grinded it out. I love this team

My reading comprehension sucks some times... I thought bill was saying the defensive game wasn't there.. I thought it was except a few shifts...

Could be. I just don't think there's a rush. They can give Pierre time see if maybe he can get his game together and send Pods down. Think they have to make a decision on Podsednik by May 30.

I know it will be tough, but I would really like to try for first. It gives the guys something to shoot for, so there arent any "trap" games against the non-playoff teams... If they have thier eyes set on a goal, then even if they dont make it they will be playing hard for the playoffs... maybe catch a team that was just cruisin by off guard...

Juan Pierre can opt out of his minor league contract with the Phillies if he's not on Philadelphia's big league roster on March 31.

Great work by Bryz during the streak. he seems so confident back there now.. just a different goalie. It's mostly mental and he's zoned in now.

I'm off to Boston this afternoon to watch the game!! SOOO pumped, as well I am going to meet Matt Read (and hopefully some of the other players) after the game as I mentioned a few weeks back.

THis is by Far going to be the best B-day weekend ever (assuming it all pans out with a Flyers win and meeting Matt).

have fun!
