They're not in a dogfight to make the playoffs, they've basically clinched already, so:

- I don't want to tire out my #1 goalie down the stretch
- I want to keep Bob fresh in case of an injury or another mental lapse

Fair points, I would only argue that I want bryz in against all top opponents moving forward.

I really hope the Flyers take out nearly 2 years worth of aggression on Boston Saturday afternoon. It's St. Patty's and their fans are going to be rowdy. That's a fragile team over there in Beantown. They kicked us so many times when we were down, that I hope the Flyers step on their throat and put a nail in their coffin. I don't know if you guys have looked at the standings lately. That team is dangerously close to falling out of a playoff spot, let alone the #2 seed.

I think the team to beat in the East is Pittsburgh. I believed that before the year started and still do. The Bruins havent been playing good hockey of late and the Rags have come back to earth a little. The Flyers are just as good as any of these teams. I can't wait to get to playoff hockey.

It truly is amazing to see the transformations of this thread over the course of the season. I'm glad to see everyone finally believes the Flyers are every bit as good as any team in the league and can beat anyone of them in a 7 game series....

Great work by Bryz during the streak. he seems so confident back there now.. just a different goalie. It's mostly mental and he's zoned in now.

I'm off to Boston this afternoon to watch the game!! SOOO pumped, as well I am going to meet Matt Read (and hopefully some of the other players) after the game as I mentioned a few weeks back.

THis is by Far going to be the best B-day weekend ever (assuming it all pans out with a Flyers win and meeting Matt).

with the rags playing so-so, our game coming together and three more h2h matchups with the pens, i find the division lead to be in view. a reach perhaps, but not entirely out of the question. let's put our best roster on the ice. particularly against quality opponents.

A 6 point bridge with 12 games to play is a huge obstacle.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't be trying for it, but I wouldn't wear out the team to try to achieve it.

He got signed right around the time Giroux took that nasty knee to the head. His status was in limbo for a few days and all WIP wanted to talk about was the WIllis signing that day. just food for thought.

I'd say series 3-0 comeback a couple years ago might add fuel to their fire for us.

nor would i. but with tilts against the panthers, caps, lightning, habs, leafs, sens and sabres, there are plenty of opportunities to roll four lines and three d pairs and play bob.

I think the true test for Bryzgalov is to see how he handles himself now that the streak is over. Hopefully he truly is locked in and comes back next game just as strong.
