I think more important than the goalie starts is do they play Crosby in both weekend games? I might err on the side of caution and sit him down for the Flyers game. I hate to say that but being the 2nd of back to backs and the fact it's the Flyers it might be a wise decision.

I don't think it's that they're not objective, I think they're just flat out stupid. Errey was going on about the trip on Gaborik, he couldn't believe it wasn't a penalty. Hopefully somebody with some pull noticed how useless they are on a national stage last night and we have new announcers next year.

We all know who the problem is. What can you do though? Root Sports does their own hiring for that position, although I am pretty sure they could be strongly persuaded from the Pens if it ever came to it.

I have an interesting hypothetical, not a realistic one. Would you accept Mike Lange back on TV if it meant Steigerwald stayed on as the color guy like it used to be?

When they were fox sports, it was pretty much known the issue was money. So obviously they could care less about quality. Over this last year, there were rumblings that they were going to dump Steigy and Errey. I got my hopes up that they finally recognized the poor quality of their broadcasts.

Lang and the old 29'r are great but for whatever reason, I don't think we'll ever see them on tv. Errey just trips on his tongue too much to be a professional broadcaster.

Edwards is bad, but he is entertaining with his over-the-top comments. If I'm watching a Bruins game, I almost always watch their feed so that I can have a laugh or two.

It's just such a stupid thing to post about any team in professional sports. Any team in any sport 'can' be beaten. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a marathon, lots can happen.

I can handle Errey, but Steigy kept using the word, "phenomenal", to descibe everything about the Pens. His comments are overly enthusiastic. He sounds more like a PR man than an objective announcer. It distracts from the game unfortunately.
