Sadly have to say poopty circumstance. One could argue Sarich had time to stop the hit but who knows. - freelancer
He has time to stop on every replay that's slowed down. At game speed he's like 10 feet away and Hall is upright, then he's falling and Sarich is like 2 feet away. Thats not a lot of space. |

Well he is 1 point behind...his ppg % is crazy...Who ever wins the scoring race is the leader in the Calder IMO. - OilHorse
PPG% can't be the whole story. If Landeskog is an integral part of the Av's making the playoffs, he may deserve that.
I'm not sure about the history of the Calder in this respect. Not sure if it's always the point leader. |

I like how feisty Hemmer is tonight, usually he is more passive with the abuse he takes. - marty11
AND Where the feck has this been all year right? Not just Hemsky - the whole team. They have to bring this more often. |

No kidding, really hope Hartikainen gets a chance as a 3rd liner next year he's my favorite prospect right now, brings in a physical element we don't have. |

nuge has best shooting %, best ppg, was a central part of the Oil offence. for a rookie a decent f/o%...he plays less shifts and less min/game. He does more with less.
I have no issue with losing to Landeskog...but I just think that whoever wins the rookie scoring race has the inside track to the Calder.
It is not always the rookie scoring leader wins, but if a forward wins it it is generally because of winning the rookie scoring race. Heatley, Malkin, OV, Kane, Skinner, Gomez.
So there is no reason to give it to anyone but a forward...

They would have been in the playoff race had they played like this all year. Maybe not a shoe in, but a bubble team. I hope they chalk it up as lessons learned and strive to play like this. |

way more. If they played like this every night I would be able to accept a lot more of their losses. I know they can't win every game, but play like you want to win them all at least. Oh and make people pay the price for those two points. |

lol, I still prefer the close and agonising crushed spirit result of being sooo close, and then getting a poop draft pick, but I do see your point. |

I'm not going to hold my breath but it's doable. Could also catch Montreal Carolina even Toronto depending on how they finish.
Remember not to long ago when Minnesota was 1st in the west and TO was in the playoff hunt... |
