Honestly I think it's too early to say who we pick. Been around long enough to know that a lot can change in a couple months. - Lahey
something tells me yakupov will be injury prone when in the NHL. |

I don't think they are in 8th because of that trade. Varlamov hasn't exactly been that good and with JSG they probably are out of the picture by today.
WIth that being said, I'd have the 2012 pick available for the right asset. The question is who exactly is available? - Lahey
It's tough to say. I figure there would be a couple of teams that would love to swap picks with us, but a straight up trade for the #2 pick? Not a lot of teams will come right out and make a pitch for that.
I wish it was the NFL and we could get the #6, a 2012 2nd a 2013 1st like the rams just got for their #2 pick. The asking price for their draft picks are insane |

I wonder what you could get for our pick and Gagner. Might have to take advantage of a SJ or WSH or whoever gets knocked out early.
I don't doubt ANA moves a guy this year, but I'd like to use those assets for a d-man not a winger. Although you end up with Ryan it does solve the issue of a player with size and skill that is proven. |

I remember back in the day some superstar was dealt for a 2nd and I couldn't figure it out. Then once I seen how 6th rounders can make a huge impact I realized the difference between NFL and NHL drafts.
And by huge impacts I mean in year one. |

2 more wins for dubie and hes at .500 not bad for a guy on a 29th place team....actually last year he was only 1 game shy of .500 on a last place team |

Wins aside. He needs to make saves in the first 2 minutes of games. |

That is (frank)all to brag about considering how many soft goals he lets in that cost us games and pts this year... If you are confident in Dubey then we are doomed... |

I don't think either guy is the answer. They both aren't starter material.
One guy took a step up this year and one took a step back, and it's not the 25 year old that showed the up arrow. |

True. I'm just commenting on the difference between 2nd and 6th overall in the draft. NHL, you're talking adding a B+ asset or two. in the NFL, it's another 1st and a 2nd. |

If i HAD to chose a goalie that we have to sign I would go with Vokoun or Nabokov. There are like 20 available goalies better than Emery. |

Yeah the thing is if I'm moving that pick its for immediate help and not draft picks. |

If I could trade down 4 picks and get another 1st and a 2nd, I would do that in a heartbeat. It's a moot point though.
I think the best case scenario is trade down and add an asset for say the Leafs pick and Luke Schenn. A little immediate help and we still get to add a prospect.

Seriously?
The Oilers would be retarded to not offer Nabby a contract if they didn't already have Khabbi.
Two 40 year old goalies is obviously less then ideal. |
