Landeskog only has more goals because he's played more minutes, flawed statistic there.

Also, those raving about the Devils being +10 and the Avs being -2 or something, the Avalanche have a better GF/GA ratio 5-on-5 which is the reason for Lando being +19 and Henrique being +10.

Nevertheless, the Avs didn't have a lot of energy, but they still played a solid game defensively. They limited most of the Devils chances and the chances they had, they were in the right place to minimize the shot or deflect the shot or pass. Devils played great also, it was really just a matter of two good systems and two teams playing their systems to a T colliding.

Man you are an idiot. All this crap about a flawed statistic is total BS. Landeskog has played with O'reilly and Winnik for most of the season and Henrique plays with Parise and Kovi so you should just Quit all of your Whining about points. Both players play similar TOI to this point in the season.

Its not "raving about", its understanding how plus/minus works. Maybe you should understand that before commenting. The GF/GA is a team statistic and is completely separate from +/- as a stat.

The best player will win the calder. Stop misconstruing statistics like you know what you are talking about.

Read my post on the other blog.

Mainly all I said was no player had the advantage, and if you were to give it to any one of them, it would be Henrique purely because of similar point numbers in less games played. Plus your fans were raving about the goal differential between COL being -2 and the goal differential of NJ being 10 and claiming that because Lando is a +19 and Henrique is a +10, Lando's numbers on a team with much lower goal differential was an important statistic, when truly, the numbers to look for the accurate part of that statistic was GF/GA during 5-on-5 play.

Landeskog has a higher gpg ratio than Henrique...You are so one sided man, your arguments aren't even worth taking seriously.

The rookie on my favorite team is better than rookie on your favorite team. Random statistic. Explanation about why other statistic isn't as high backed up with opinion. Therefore, random insult about previous posters intelligence.

I really like the way Colorado fans describe Landeskog. I would like to see him play much more. Same as RHN. Here, in Mtl, we see alot more NJ than Col and EDM, obviously, and I didn't think Henrique stood out that much, for those games. Not an argument or anything, but still I think Landeskog and RNH have a much more "impact" on their team than Henrique.

Like another user said : Henrique is 4th or 5th in line for points, while RNH and Landeskog are not far from 1st spot. Is it an argument ? I don't think so neither.

We are talking about 3 future NHL stars. We don't want to point one of them stating : this one sucks, we simply can't. That's why "homerism" comes in line pretty often, they're all great players and we all have argument for one side or the other.

Anyway, my take would be RNH, for his ppg, as simple as that. I think the NHL thinks like that.

BUT, if we were taking a look at the all-around best rookie player, I think Landeskog could have a shot at it because of his tremendous defensive play. Still I think the NHL wants to promote the offensive side of the game, they'll go with RNH.

Landeskog was the player I wanted the Oilers to take in the draft last season, I wasn't sold on RNH until I seen him play.

RNH is major factor in the Oilers PP going from worst to first. RNH has a very underated defensive game and while he isn't this season he will be a key penalty killer in the future.

It's sure that being on Edmonton's line-up, everyone (or almost, else than Edmonton fans) is looking at his scoring abilities. I'm also pretty sure that Eberle is great defensively, but it won't be "significant" until Edmonton gets better defensively also.

Take a look at Plekanec. He's still the best of our team, hands down, when it comes to play on the PK, and defensively (of all the forwards on our team). Do we talk about it this year ? Nope. The team really sucks this year. When the Oilers will come over, I think Eberle's, RNH's defensive abilities will be recognize at their real value.

Until then, Landeskog gets the defensive aspect with his +37.
