Ya that was a crazy house clean, don't think I can think of another wild turn over like that. Philly in 06 maybe.

There's definitely been some bad moves and hind sight is 20/20. I won't be his apologist either but it wasn't all poop.

Bob's biggest mistake was over estimating how the "new nhl" was going to be after the lockout.
He went small and quick and was wrong (Gomez,Cammi and Gionta) 18mil per season wrong

Indeed. So will Reimer win enough of the last few games to make fans want to give him more time?

No doubt, he gambled and lost. I don't know that he truly understands the mercenary attitude of a lot of todays players.

That's how that poop works. Detroit will pick him up down the road. Turns into a late bloomer.

I can forgive some of his mistakes but I can never forgive the Gomez trade, it really hurt the team for many years. What they paid for him is completely ridiculous, they handcuffed themselves for 5 years (3 years now)....Worse trade ever!

So will it be Monster's game to run with then? Or trade for a vet/calibre youngster?

every single thing he's done publicly so far has made him appear pretty weak and indecisive.

yep i get the same impression, he's not a guy who's gonna steer that ship, he'll just let it sail smoothly.

The $ and term is brutal. I was more pissed with the McDonagh inclusion. If (frank)ing Gomez could maintain a 50-55 pt pace the $/term wouldn't sting as much but watching Weber and Kaberle and the other maybe not quite as useless lately (frank) instead of McDonagh is the worst.

Who knows? People like to talk about Harding, Bernier or even Schneider. But in the end those guys aren't proven starters either. I think the Leafs are (frank)ed when it comes to the goalie position. But I do believe it will be Gustavsson looking for work next year. They won't...they can't go with the same pair.
