I always hated how everyone thought they were the greatest and that they were going to win the championship every year and then every year they fall flat on their face. However, people continued to think they were the best in the world.

For his 7th Birthday my little cousin was told by his Dad that he was going to a Pirate game along with 9 of his friends . When his Dad asked him if he was excited, my little cousin responded "Do I have to go?"

I took my kids to their first game last year, saw a win and had a great time.

Then, they fell apart, again.

Ouch. Tailgating and the park is probably the highlights to attending the game. Not sure what to think of them this year. Two years ago they did well after allstar game, last year they did good before it so maybe this year they put them together and have a entire year of good play? ..... doubtful sadly.

Looking ahead to potential playoffs, there are 3 series that I think would be absolutley awesome.

Red Wings/Blue

The games for us between now and Sunday will go a long way towards seeing if we are in that 4/5. (at NY, at NJ, at Phi) a series with the Flyers would have an insane amount of subplots.

blues remind me of the pens a bit. With mcdonald and backes missing the 1st half of the season, and steen and d'agostini still gone, they still continue to win. love to see a pens/blues matchup in the SC

I agree, but this break has apparently allowed us to get Sid and Letang back into the mix. so maybe this once, it has worked to our favor.
