I guess we can basically cast Sekera out for this season. Even if he made it back by the playoffs.. it would take him too long to readjust to the game.

Myers, Ehrhoff, Leopold, Regehr, Weber, Sulzer, and McNabb is our defense.

Yes but that Sh!t is hard... It attacks your lungs and takes everything out of you... You have to get the strength in your lungs and body back... Takes alot of recovery... This kills healthy adults..

Can be either. I had walking for a week b4 I got to Dr. I was back to running in less than a week.
My guess is the med staff would have thoroughly checked him out right away and kept it to a minimum.

Not really. It's an illness that can be caused by a virus. It can also be caused by germs and bacteria.

My point is that it is impossible to determine how long the recovery can take. Some people jump back into their normal routine in a couple weeks. Others can't walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded for months. Each person is different. Hopefully, being a pro athlete will help him recover faster, but it might not matter at all.

That was my point. Since it's a virus, their is no real treatment for it besides running it's course. My father in law was out fo work for 2 weeks last month with it, their was nothing he could do about it but take some Anti-B's, rest and hydrate.

Exactly... We treated our Defensive End here at the University... And he was out for 4 games and didnt have enough strength to lift for 3 weeks.... but Recovery is different for everybody... And depends on how bad it was too.. But I'm sure the got it under control quick... He will be back for the playoffs...

If Sekera is skating with a no-contact jersey on, it's not nearly as bad as it could be with Pneumonia. If it doesn't get worse he could be back in relatively short order.
