what the oilers will do is try and acquire wideman/carle in the offseason and if they do so then why draft a dman? draft a big center...

Right so I guess we have nothing in the AHL worthy of a look... Nothing faster, younger, stronger or bigger than Smyth for bottom 6 role in 2 years? I agree its not the worst option... but if our energy and banger lines have a near 40year old turtles on them we are fuct... and we may as well re-sign the 40 year old drunk as the starting goalie til 2016... that way we would have a near solid 10 years of no playoffs and 10 years of solid drafts picks that came and left the oiler organization due to mediocrity...
