What is up with your forsberg fascination, he is overrated....

The oilers won't be taking him.....oilers will draft one of Reinhardt, murray or reilly.

Has anyone noticed how slow whitney is? I've seen him beat 1 on 1 a handful of times over the last 4 games which has led to a goal or scoring opportunity.

Jones doesn't have star power. He's a good depth guy, nothing more.

I really hope we pitch for an elite goalie... I would give our first for Enroth... I wonder what it would take to get Thomas out of Boston in the offseason... I know 2 years ago Boston could not give him away... A cup changes things but I do not think he would be overly expensive considering his money and contract...

Thats a good question, but your only going to have him for a couple of years because of his age. Elite goalies are hard to come by

The oilers need to be able to bring goalies to camp next season that will push duby and khabby. If there is a better goalie in camp then the oil should keep him and send one of duby or khabby down.

Why not? Cheap guy that brings a lot of energy, plays two-way hockey and is good for 15g.

I don't know, but playing on the 4th line won't be the end of the world.

I need to make this clear now. OKC played last night so him not getting huge minutes shouldn't be a major issue.

If we go by yesterday's practice lines and we make the assumption that Hordi is out then him Belanger and Petrell is what I'd expect.

I would not give up our first for enroth. Maybe our 2nd rounder and omark. I would love to have Myers but that's highly unlikely. I'd prefer bernier over enroth.

I would trade our 1st overall for Zibenjad or however its spelled... I am not sure Smyth gets resigned... he did well for us this year but as Clouts stated he was rode too hard and does not have much left in the tank... If renney gets resigned it really would not bother me... if he does not once again no biggie... I do think he did have a good culture going just prior to the midway pt of this season... but losing and losing more will (frank) up everything which is why we are hearing that he lost the room and is tweeting what he is...

Smyth 1 year term $2.5M is reasonable. As someone suggested in other blogs, keep resigning him to 1 year terms. He won't be getting top 6 minutes unless someone is injured from the top 6. I would only suggest Edmonton trade down a couple spots to get a good top 4 d-man or goalie and still have a top 5-7 pick. Otherwise, to trade away the 1st round pick completely will require a young potential top 4 d-man and probably goalie.

If Renney is let go at the end of the season, who do you think comes in to replace him? The "most desirable" coaches like Hitch, Carlyle, and Boudreau have already been rehired. Do they bring up Todd Nelson from the farm?

Zibanejad seems like he is developing nicely and looked awesome in that gold medal game for Sweden at the WJC. A lot of our fan base is excited about him because he brings a lot to the table. We'll see how it all shakes out though. I have very little to judge him on and I've never been one to put much stock in random scouting reports unless I know the people writing them. You never know who is writing them or if they've even seen the kid play. We'll see, but I'm looking forward to seeing him next year and how he's developed.

Ive been saying this, washington doesnt need two first round picks, i was sure theyd make a deal at the trade deadline, they are one of those teams that NEED to make the playoffs. I just wonder what it would take to grab one of them, like Omark, Peckham and our 2nd? i dunno if theyd do that though. I actually really like Andrei Vasilevski, he was amazing in the world juniors.
