I think Burke has to adjust his team building strategy. He has always talked talent on first 2 lines and grinders on last 2 line but I think he needs more skill on line 3. Your 3rd line has to be able to produce some kind of offense.

well...hopefully Carlyle will agree more with Burke and they will get a better roster together in the next year/two...need a few more guys who can grind and score. We are pretty weak on the boards and in the corners...we have a few guys like Connolly/Lombo/Army that once gone we should have room for improvements.

Although frankly...I would much rather Army just get better

Last Night the Leafs reverted back to the Wilson system especially on the PK i basically turned the game off after I watched 4 leafs allow Kopecky to skate in between them and stand in front of the net uncontested.

I'm not sure what happened this season... I've seen a team go from playing poopty to playing well... I've never seen a team play well for the majority of the season, and then just give up like they have.

I wanna say it's an anomaly and they'll be in the playoffs next year with a coach that knows defense... but honestly, after this faceplant, can't expect anything from this team.

They have zero heart, or pride.

Besides getting a real starting goalie, I think the next step is to try to unload Phaneuf while he has had a decent season. We might be able to con some team into taking him.
