I`ve seen a lot more promise from most of those prospects ranked after Kadri. Granted a bunch of those prospects in the list need to be taken out due to graduation but then there are more spots for all the prospects that are actually performing.

We need a Miracle to get a top goalie... Toronto hasnt developed a decent one since ...ummm potvin?

Boston didnt develop Thomas....they picked him up as filler.

If we do make the playoffs I really hope we face you guys. That probably wont happen tho since the Devils will be seeded 6th and Ottawa blows too much to make a run at a seed higher than 7th.

Kessel hasn't scored 40 yet. I fully understand he has the potential, but let's not count chickens until they hatch. Also, 1 dimensional 40 goal scorers aren't as valuable as they seem. Did you know Kessel has been on the ice for more 5-5 goals against than any other fwd? He's also apparently only capable of scoring off the rush, and can be easily intimidated and thrown off his game by getting in his grill. There's a HUGE difference between a "40" goal scorer like Philip and an actual 40 goal scorer who adds so much more to his team like Ryan Kesler.

Teemu Selane, Brett Hull, Mike Bosy... all were/are 1 dimensional. All are useful, and if Kessel can score 35+ goals for another 15 seasons he will also join them in the HHOF.

I wonder when Burke said he had 1st round pick offers for Grabo, Schenn, Kulemin and MacArthur which teams were involved?

With all the teams so tightly packed in the standings, if we made all those trades we could have gotten lucky and maybe gotten a few top ten picks.

Probably teams safely in a playoff spot. It's a pretty poopty draft anyways.

Very dubious that the Leafs had four different teams offering four different first rounders for the players mentioned in that vague rumour. More likely they had one team saying we'll take this one of these guys for a pick, maybe another team saying Schenn for a pick. Likely a bottom five to ten pick as well.
