I'm curious if Q will give Crawford the start in Dallas after tonight's showing?

Good question...You know he wants to....

Nice win for Crow. Well done.
- PuckkmeNOpuckU

Crawford has to turn it around: he has to be the guy - Emery, I don't think, can do it: he's won a lot of games recently, but has given up 19 goals in his last 19 periods - that's 3 per game.

He has too much trouble too often getting to where the puck is.

Can Crawford pick it up?

Either way...a good win.

I am pulling for Crawford. I want him to succeed. I am happy that Emery is doing well too. I wonder if he gets a contract for next year.

I'd love to see Razor, the more experienced vet, get the start in a hostile environment. Crow did his job and got the W in relief, but it wasn't as if Razor stunk the joint out.

Come back with Razor Q...and you have the newly confident Crow waiting in the wings if the wheels should come off again.

Wow when the hawks want to be physical they can play with anyone. Blues folded like a card table after the 1st period. Huge win

Q's call to quietly switch tenders after a rough first was a classy nod to not embarrass Razor and it WORKED.

That's the second time in recent weeks such a move has worked. THAT's a players coach folks.

When was the last time that the Hawks led from shortly after Cornellison to "...we know you enjoyed the outcome"?

Good thing is they keep coming back (often, not always).

Q not clear as to whether Hjarlmarrson is really hurt or not. Sugests upper body but not clear. Then says we'll see how he is tomorrow then a reporter asks was this more of a coaches decision more then anything and Q shrugs off the question. with a low handed YES

Sounds like Hjammer probably got reconcussed by the way Q was responding to questions in the postgame

- Wowo2282

I think he got benched and Q didnt want to throw his guy under the bus.

That sucks...hope he's ok, but wouldn't be surprised if his head was ringing from all the guff I and others were giving him here after the first goal.

Couple notes -

It's my turn to sing the praises of Oduya and give Stanbow a small pat on the ass. He's been great. Responsible with the puck, reliable in our own end, and patient. It's calming to watch him handle the because he slows the game and makes smart plays. Not to make Keith the catalyst - but that is something he hasn't done. Inking Oduya would put a smile on my face.

Seabrook mentioned in the postgame that they have been heavily stressing the need to put pucks on net from the point - and today they did. I've been pulling my hair out all year at the reluctance the offensive system has shown to utilize shots from the point. It's so wonderful to see a hawks forward park their ass in front of the net and let Seabs drop bombs. It just makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

On that note, it's my personal belief that Keith will never hit the net again. Ever.

The follow up question "was it basically a coaches decision in the....?" Q cuts him off and says Yes in so many words.

He may be hurt again but tonight it was pretty much the coaches telling him he was hurt

Kane said "I was gonna go backhand shelf in the shootout but after talking to Hossa on the bench, he said Halak has a big 5-hole, go backhand 5-hole. So that's what I did, he(81) knows a thing or two."
