What difference does it make if they get them first second or third round? There's no magical power that is going to make a difference for the Flyers or Pens in either round. If anything get them early in case Crosby does comeback this way you get him while he is still trying to get the feel back for the game. Young as he is with that big of a layoff there is going to be rust for him to shakeoff.

What I want is to see the Flyers prove they are worthy of winning the cup.. and in order to do that, it doesnt matter who they play.. they need to win 16 games.

Meh. Get it over with. I want the Flyers to knock the Pens off after 2008 & 2009. In fact, in my dream scenario, I hope we draw the Pens, Bruins, and Rangers before the Canucks or Wings en route to winning the Cup.
That way, no one outside the Flyers fanbase can say it was a fluke. Flyers fans generally wait a year before calling their own (nigh) championship runs a fluke.

Amen. The idea of wanting to lose a game to get an easier match up is a losing mentality to me. I want to carry all the momentum we can into the postseason.

agreed. just cause id rather not face the pens in the 1st round doesnt mean i want them to tank down the stretch.

The flyers still had two tough teams to begin with before the ECF. Then went on to get the Blackhawks who exposed their goaltending. If you're gonna win the cup you have to beat good teams it matters not what seed you get.

They have done well against the Pens this year, aside from the last outing. Philly Won the season series against them the past two seasons as well. I am not fully convinced that Crosby comes back and is the same player he was before. The pens are hot at the moment, but they are beatable. With a healthy blueline and BryzWallov playing as he has of late, Philly can definitely take the pens in a 7 game series. Be nice to have home ice if that is the road they gotta travel.
