is this really worth your time?

Not really. But I'm just humoring myself.

I do wonder what the Devils have lined up in terms of successors. Do they have any noteworthy goaltender prospects?
- BulliesPhan87

Wedgewood was on Canada for the WJ.
Clermont might be a viable option.
Kinkaid had a solid season for Union College last year, and was highly touted coming out of college.

Only problem is they are all like two-three years away. That means we might need a stopgap, so they might sign Bishop/Harding, there's viable stop gap goaltenders in the UFA market this year.

It was a legal hit. And a fundamental part of the game. You don't have a legitimate beef there.
- MJL

Legal hit because Larsson protected himself. It was still a pretty dangerous play to be made by Hartnell.

it doesn't get much better than tonite...from the effort, the team d and overall execution. lesser teams would have let the devils smother them, but the flyers talent and desire were too much for them - dynamite

Hockey is a dangerous game. And throwing checks is a fundamental part of the game. It was a routine check.

Time for me to move on. Have a good night.

I just want to take this moment to say, I think Bryz will have another bad game or two before the season is over. (you guys know how hard I've defended him) but yes he is streaky despite the devils fan's flimsy attempt to prove it. However I think what we are seeing now is the real Bryz. I just hope you guys all continue to keep the faith in him. Otherwise bring on whoever because we got a goalie who takes care of Bryzness!

You are seeing the real Bryz, it's whether or not the real Bryz shows up when the playoffs roll around.

Dude do you want to read us write 100 pages of how dirty the Stevens hit on Lindros was? Because we can. Plz your team lost tonight. Both teams imo are very close and seriously only a playoff series at this point could determine the superior team. But right now just stop with the obvious attempts to piss on our parade.

Plz are you trying to imply that he actually played on a team that deserved to be in the playoffs against Detroit the past two years? Let's not forget that without Bryz the yotes are not in the playoffs those two years.

There are no more bad games for Bryzmania. He will continue to slam the door shut on the opponets face.

They have Lehner and Anderson, don't know if they really need him. They might have gotten him for warranty for Anderson's injury.

There's a pretty decent crop of guys you can get for 2/3 years.

Gustavsson, Harding, Bishop, Vokoun, Nabokov. Maybe Montoya, Mason, Nittymaki, Biron.

The first five are all pretty good options IMO.

Eh I feel a hiccup along the way steve but otherwise he'll always have me defending him. At least until year 5 of this contract Oh and if he wins a cup for this team I got his back to the day I die

No. I am just saying, everyone is tooting his horn right now, it really doesn't matter whether he shows up now, whether he shows up in the playoffs is a different story.

Wasn't implying anything, the statement was meant to be read as it was written.

bryz is a guy who should be .920 sv % goalie and it's a pleasure to watch such excellence on display. he went from a guy who looked like he forgot how to play the position to a vezina trophy candidate. I don't know why, nor do I care as long as he continues to look huMONgous big in net

All those guys are huge question marks ...they are either old, injury prone or a solid backup goaltender at best.

They gonna kill brodeur so he can't retire and then tie his corpse to the goal posts. I'd imagine that be better than hedberg

That was a different era of hockey.

What they allowed pre-lockout compared to post-lockout and what is now defined as dirty is different than what it used to be.

I been on that ship with you. I still think even when he does have a bad game its only going to be three goals max. He is in the zone at the right time.

and you don't write stuff like that without implications. Look I don't know you from a can of paint but I see your intention. Just stop while you're ahead. Like I said earlier and I'll say again. These two teams are close in talent level. Find a replacement for Marty and you guys can easily be a dynasty again. I respected and still wish for the devils to be in another conference so I could make them my second team. Otherwise all this the goalie that shows up in the playoffs etc. could be said for any goalie. Did Vezina Miller show up in last year's playoffs? No but would I take him on my team? in a heartbeat!

I know that, but you find a way to pair two of them up with each other and let one run with it.

For example, give Harding 2.5 million and Gustavsson 2.5 million, whichever plays better takes the spot.
