He's a streaky goalie. He has been his entire career. That's not an opinion. It's a fact.
- nyy

Yeah. Bryz is playing terrible. What gives him the right to be the #1 goalie? get out of here dude. Seriously

Hartnell was playing a gritty (frank)ing game.
- _Zippy_

In what way? By being pushed into Brodeur twice?

Yeah, gritty (frank)ing game.

The puck battles are what get's the puck out of the zone. Absolutely nothing to do with the Devils being predictable.
- MJL

I never said we didn't play bad on the puck battles, even when we had the puck, the breakout was virtually invisible. There was no breakout.

Come on now, I said we played crappy on the battles, but we didn't play well in any aspects of the game including breakout. By not playing hard, we become predictable also.

The point of players like Boulton is to straighten out players who play like that.

Not complaining, stating the obvious.

- _Zippy_

Is this serious?

Look I don't think he will post shutouts the rest of the season. In fact a 4 or 5 goal game isn't out of the question down the road. But one thing I've been preaching is the defense (forwards and Dmen) need to play better. Now that they have Bryz is a beast and Yes I am vindicated. Bryz will continue on a 2 gaa the rest of the season. Book it!

There was talk earlier today about the Flyers losing game to get themselves a better playoff position. If the Flyers continue playing the team game they are playing now, are as strong and committed on the puck as they were tonight. Backed up with solid team defense and outstanding goaltending they are getting now. They are going to be a tough team to play, and a tough out. That goes against the Rangers, Pens, Bruins. Anybody!

In the way that he looks to hit players every chance he gets. Boulton is the type of player to straighten players out when they need to be.

What do you guys have Shelley for, to do the same things.

Yep. He also had 8 wins in a row last season. He has huge streaks like this, then he disappears.
- nyy

how many goalies are consistently dominant?

miller, thomas, even fleury last year. they all go through the rough patches. you guys are just a bit spoiled because you've been watching brodeur for most of the teams existence

Sure there was a breakout. The same breakouts the Devils have use all year, to beat a lot of teams. The game didn't come down to predictability. Nothing to do with it. It came down to who wanted it more. And who was the better team tonight. The Devils breakouts worked just fine on Sunday.

I'm not playing this game with you, sir. He's our starter, and he's consistently improved in the second semester this season. That's all I'm concerned about.
- BulliesPhan87

For a Flyers fan you sure are touchy. I was just stating the facts. Bryz has streaks where he wins 7, 8, 9 games in a row. Then he becomes swiss cheese. His M.O. throughout his career has been inconsistency. That was the biggest concern when the Flyers picked him up. So I'm not sold that he has turned it around based on 5 games.

.....You're now bringing up points irrelevant to the topic I posted, did the same thing when nyy pointed out that the Bryz was a streaky goalie, you brought up something about him playing terrible.

....I am done with you, simply. It seems like all the troll guys and the guys that get hyped up on the wins and feel the need to trash talk the other team, even when I am simply talking, are now here.

So long to all the fans I actually had genuine conversations with.

I wonder about that actually. He does not fight anymore, does not really hit, and sometimes turns it over in our zone.

Sean Couturier played a terrific game tonight. He wasn't named one of the 3rd stars tonight, and he should have been. Where is that Rookie wall at?
