Wow. I never complained. Simply, Hartnell played that game and he was doing poop like hitting players etc, and Boulton was signed so that he tells people to straighten people out when they do that, yet he goes after Lilja who lays a clean hit on him. - _Zippy_
Of course he went after Lilja. That it was a clean hit is irrelevant.

It's called a forecheck. Zero to do with predictability. Every team knows what every other team is going to do and the breakouts they'll use. It's about who wanted the puck more. If it came down to predictability, the Flyers would have won Sunday, and every other time they play the Devils, if they're so predictable. Your barking up the wrong tree. - MJL
If you realised I said this earlier, the Flyers didn't pressure well last game and thus the breakout looked good, and the opposite happened tonight. Yeah, we had no urgency to win puck battles, I agree with you on that, but when you can't get out of the zone, you won't be able to win puck battles and barely any momentum. Once they did get the puck in the zone, they were tired or they just sat in their zone for the last minute, the Devils played one of the worst games I've seen them play in terms of effort. |

Seriously? The season is a lot longer than 5 games. He's having a great run, but he also poop the bed a LOT early on in the season. Is that the making of a goalie you can rely on?
I personally like Bryz, but only for his personality. I would never want him on my team. Next game he gives up 3 in the first, you'll be calling for his head again. - nyy
Hes had over 20 games now where he's allowed 2 or fewer goals. Where are you coming up with this "can't trust him" stuff? The slump is overblown big time. He's made big saves early on and now. This guy is for real. I'm sorry you guys lost but did you hear or read me ripping on the devils when the Flyers lost on sunday? NO. I respect your team highly so plz don't imply that I'm being a homer or wearing some kind of orange and black sunglasses. Bryz is for real and Hartnell is the man. Just like I thought about Marty and all your goons back in the day. |

It's called adjusting to a new team especially a market like Philadelphia...he's now comfortable and playing the way we expected him to play. |

This is possibly the best game the Flyers have played this season? Up by 2 goals with almost a full period to go and give up only 3 shots, including just 1 in a 4 min pp. Plus dominate offensively while keeping up the D. |

Bryz had a pretty nice stretch from the end of October to the middle of December that few remember |

The puck battles are what get's the puck out of the zone. Absolutely nothing to do with the Devils being predictable.

The only thing predictable was that Bryz was gonna be hard to beat.. and he was. |

Joe's been rather supportive of Bryz through it all, actually. And Bryz's improving play goes beyond those five games (though they're definitely the culmination of it). Nice try, though. - BulliesPhan87
He's a streaky goalie. He has been his entire career. That's not an opinion. It's a fact. |

Yep. He also had 8 wins in a row last season. He has huge streaks like this, then he disappears. |

Hartnell was playing a gritty (frank)ing game.
The point of players like Boulton is to straighten out players who play like that.
Not complaining, stating the obvious. |

I'm not playing this game with you, sir. He's our starter, and he's consistently improved in the second semester this season. That's all I'm concerned about. |
