Now that Gagner has come down to earth I think we should trade him dubnyk and our 2013 1st for Coyle Harding and their first this year. I'm not convinced Harding is an improvement from dubbie but it's a change. We add a big winger and another top ten pick. Minnie gets a good second liner in gags to go behind koivu and they take on the risk of where our 2013 first lands. We take on the risk of coyle and whether he pans out or not. I'd throw in a 3rd rounder this year as well if need be.

That is an atrocious trade. Dubnyk is a serviceable backup, Harding is a UFA and can be had for nothing if he chooses to sign here, but there is no guarantees he will pan out as a #1 goaltender. Coyle is completely unproven and Gagner is a young solid #2 center. Next year's pick is a toss up but really, is this team looking alot better for next year? If Tambellini makes this trade he should be fired and sent to Siberia. |

Is it really that hard to believe that a guy Clowes size isn't that fleet of foot? - Zombie

I wish Big Mac had been given the freedom to do this when he was an Oiler. |

Looking at it again I'd be all over a Gagner + 2013 first rounder for Coyle and 2012 first rounder. It forces Tambellini to make some signings July 1 to make this a playoff team. |

How many think that the hit Yakupov took that will leave him out for some time going to affect the draft now? |

I don't know to be honest, but I think that if someone steps up like Huberdeau did last year that Yakupov could fall. |

Why would we trade him when he came back down to earth? If tambellini wanted to trade him it would have been just after the 8 point night when his value was at its peak. |

I wish he just went (frank)ing ape poop a few times last year. Would have made the games at least a bit more exciting. I still want to see Peckham get 4th line LW ass pummel duty. |

That fight is nothing compared to mac vs ivanans. The sh!t kicking of ivanans resulted in him being done for the season.
Tell me how the playoffs go, will ya. |

I agree. If we are going to lose games we should at least make it interesting by sending out plugs to go ape tit. |

Tonight is a very important game. I think san jose has 15 games left and the flames have 12, so beating the sharks tonight could be the difference maker |

I don't think so. Galchenyuk has been out all year, still considered a top 5 pick. Plus Yakupov is gonna be back for playoffs from what I heard.
Someone will have to go on a run like Huberdeau to even make a discussion of it, as of now Yak is #1. |

Well he had a good hot streak going and maybe he felt he wa more valuable to us and could possibly be breaking out, he is only 22. But it was really just a hot streak and I don't think it's indicative of what's to come. If they thought he was emerging as a 60 point guy then ya keep him. My take on it is he is still a 45-50 point centre man which is still good for second line don't get me wrong. I just think he needs to play with shooters not two passers like Omark an hemsky. Minnie has some shooters that may wrk well with him hence the trade proposal. We would get a possible big scoring winger and another top ten pick to maybe get faksa who is close to NHL ready at 6 3 200 pounds. |
