It would be very hilarious if Montreal beats us in the last game of the season to give us a better pick...or if we win the lotto and jump to number one, which at this point is not out of the question. It's always darkest before the dawn, and after the kicks in the balls we've taken for this long, it's the kind of thing the hockey gods would arrange.
