I think the core of the problem is that no one in the organization wants to turn the page on players that we've invested in via trade.
I hate to think about it, but it looks like the Sharks "window" to win the cup is finally gone. I've always respected DW for his ability to take risks and finding ways to get rid of players that don't work within the context of the team, but Thornton can't carry this team, Boyle has become to error prone and our goaltending is questionable at best and those are the 3 biggest problems. I don't think we need to totally decimate the team but a few key vets need to go and DW's ego is too big to make this happen. He doesn't want to regret the Thornton trade or the Boyle trade so he'll remain loyal until he is fired or those players are retired.
I have no issue with the coaching staff, how can you motivate a group of people that don't have the talent or legs to compete. McClellan is quick to hold people accountable but until the leadership changes it won't do a thing. As for Marleau no one should expect anything more that what he's done. He's been with the team for 10 years and we've seen the best and worst come from him. Right now I think he's having a good year by his standards so it's hard to blame him.

It's going to be funny if the Sharks put together a solid March and go into the playoffs as the 3 seed, and make another deep run at the cup.

It's cracks me up how negative people get when a team struggles for a month.

Hockey noobs are funny.

Thanks for the laughs everyone.

I think the 2 biggest keys for a turnaround are Ryane Clowe and Martin Havlat.

I'm a big Ryane Clowe fan but has there been a Shark that has played more poorly than him in the past month. Coach can't drop him down a line because they don't have anyone with enough offense capabilities to move up to 2nd line. Wingels has played ok but he isn't putting up any numbers. Sadly, until Havlat gets back, I think Wingels is our best 2nd line option.

Poor Logan is on a deserted island that's called the 2nd line.

Of course, It wouldn't hurt if the goalie stole a win or 2.

Having Havlat back will be such a big boost for our forward depth. This should be the line-up, and leave it alone Todd, let the boys develop some chemistry for once, before changing the line after 1 poor period!!!! For the D, bench Colin White's ass for the rest of the season. That one-eyed bafoon sucks at hockey.

Id go with Galiardi over Ferriero but other than that I agree here. Braun as a 7th dman.

For sure!

I predict we win our back to back in Canada and that will start our hot streak. I garuntee we will be the 3rd seed. Realistically, other than goaltending, the Sharks are a way better than Phoenix and Dallas.
