I dont expect him to be back

I wasn't saying you Homie. You just said $2 million. I understood that was what you would want to pay him. There are those who actually think that could happen though.

miller stole us 2 wins on the west coast

I dot think the record would be any different if goose was here

great guy, descent player
our pk will take a step back but if he is going for the paycheck I wish him well

if he wants to come back for 2 mil per season, I am ok with that as well

His current salary is like 2.8 or something? He's going to want a raise and probably a few years contract. Since the cap has been expanding every year, spare for these rumors about the cba knocking it down (with players current salaries as a %), I think it's fair to give him a 500k boost. I mean, Grabovski's new contract of 5.5 is proportionally equal to Roy's when Roy signed his. So 3.2 for Goose for a few years (Lord knows we need his faceoff prowess, along with his PK) is reasonable.

People who expect him to take a pay cut to play here are dreaming.

The goose era is over at any price in my opinion. WE NEED TO CHANGE THE PLAYERS. The core needs to change. We already know they can't win in the playoffs. I say that because they are not going to fire Ruff.

No way do I want him on this team for that price. Let someone else pay it. He has not been missed.

Goose is not the kind of change we need. He's not expected to supply a ton of offense. Roy and Stafford need to change, been that way for years. If you don't want Goose, we still need a 3rd line center who's good on the pk and can take critical faceoffs. Maybe there's one in FA who can fill the spot. I like Goose, but if he doesn't come back, the void still needs to be filled.
