good morning my beloved Isles fans, it is time to accept the fact that we aren't going to the playoffs this year once again and i am certain that there are some fans out there who believed that it wouldn't happen from day one. Let's hope next season would be a triumph for us all! good luck everyone

Bettman should at least be telling Wang to hire a real GM. A NY former dynasty team being this bad cannot be good for the NHL.

How much you wanna bet Montreal ain't one of the worst teams in the sport next season? How much you want to bet there will be accountability to how bad the Habs year has been? How much you wanna bet nothing happens here? Status quo, baby!

I gave up after we laid down in Washington 2 weeks ago.
Then any remote care I had got wiped away in a gutless 5-1 loss last Thursday. The effort really is horrendous sometimes.

haha...I love you too.
It must be nice rooting for a team that makes the playoffs every now and then, huh?

It has been a nice run so far this yr, but the team struggling the last week has some of the troops in psycho mode over in our thread. First 3 game losing streak all yr we're on right now & you would think from some of the posters comments we're in last place.

Funny enough, watch our schmucks win tonight.

Wow...if the team I rooted for was 1st in the Conference, what the hell could you complain about?

People are so shortsighted, if you asked a Ranger fan in September what he would think if the team was 1st overrall in the Conference in March playing without Staal for half the year, Sauer for most of the yr & getting little contributions from Richards & Dubinsky & he would have asked you "where you by your crack from?"

Tell them to become Islanders fans.

It's perfect actually. The bar is set so low, the expectations are so low, and the accountability to the fans and the people who pay to watch this yearly debacle is non-existent, every win is treated like Game 7 of the (frank)ing Stanley Cup Finals.

YAY!!!

I gave up when we let "Z" walk. We signed Rolson Reasnor and Pandolfo and Sent Haley and Gillies back to Bridgeport. Turned the team into "Barney & Friends on Ice". .Seriously. But you knew that already.

Losing sucks, plain & simple. Hopefully for your sake you can turn it around but I really wonder with Wang in charge if its ever possible. Good luck tonight big guy.

5 years away from 40. Kid, mortgage and almost 15 years invested at my job. Not a spring chicken anymore. Still in good enough shape to drink since 2 yesterday and go around and play 2 hours of soccer today though.

Have I mentioned I'm also a Jets, Mets and St. John's basketball fan, too?
Even Tottenham is letting me down (once again).

I've reached the end of my rope on this. At least the other teams I root for give me moments of happiness every now and then (even the Mets, and that's saying something).

I've scratched my head and thought about it this morning. Besides the drafting and 6-year contract of John Tavares, this team has given me nothing.
NOTHING. `Well, actually, frustration and bullpoop.
