I have no idea why I'm not getting any messages?

hahah....it's not even as funny or as timely as it was yesterday anyway.

I'm not convinced we could beat the Bridgeport team right now. It's one guy playing above the other 19. If I'm Tavares, I'm thoroughly disgusted and kicking myself for signing for 6 years in this dump.
- potvin05

If this continues he'll be holding out and there are no signs it will not continue

They should have been sellers @ the deadline... not bringing anybody in.

If PA, and Nabby don't resign... then it was a big mistake not trading them.

- jimmc7722

It was a big mistake regardless of whether or not they resign.

I'm so (frank)ing sick of backing this team and supporting a team that could give two poops about its fans. Instead of spending the money on SpongeBob--who's FANTASTIC by the way--or Dora, or tatooes, or whatever stupid crap they're trottinhg out at the next home game, how about improving your roster?

You're kidding me right?
Did you just get on this ride? I've been on this ride since the early 80s and my head and stomach can't take it anymore.

I mean, we talk all nostalgic about a playoff series we didn't even win--WE DIDN'T EVEN WIN--against Toronto that was 10 (frank)ing years ago. I'm so sick of watching the playoffs and us NEVER being in it. And, if by some Grace of God we do make it, we lose in 5 games because we're the 8th seed.

SELL THE (frank)ING TEAM, NUMBNUTS!!

Like Garth said in the interview...the playoff push starts tonight...
- kear20

And within a span of less than a minute it ended tonight.

Hollywood couldnt have come up with that script.

Did you see Capt Jacks face when Jersey scored? Oh I guess not. He buried his face In his hand. He couldnt bare it any longer. I actually felt sorry for the Pizza man. What a team! What an organization! What an embarrassment.

And for all those who cant count. We are in yr FIVE of the Rebuild according to Garths interview last month on the Isles Official Site! So if your prepared to call for Garth to be fired after 5 yrs of failure. Start calling.

That is Unless anyone considers another last place finish and a lottery pick as progress!!!!!!

Hey Garth! Any plans of drafting outside the box come this yrs Draft?

On the bright side. Neilson looked good and Haley added an element to the team last nite that has been lacking since last season. He did his job and didnt hurt the team. 10 mins TOI. Made some hard checks. Drew a penalty. 3 shots on goal. Played with energy. And stayed out of the box. No need to keep him up here. Send him back to Bridgeport Garth! Dont want any players with heart, energy and desire corrupting this team. He might actually defend a team mate or two along the way. Mercy!

What makes you optimistic for the future??
1) We have a coach who's in way over his head, who apparently isn't going anywhere because it costs American dollars to hire a coach.
2) We have an owner who's notorious for putting all his eggs on one basket. What do I mean? He makes buddies with someone and puts all his faith into that person, REGARDLESS or the job being done.
3) Have I mentioned that the aforementioned owner knows exact jackpoop about the sport?
4) The team trots out players that "go through the motions" at least once, if not, twice a week.
5) A six-year-old could make a good pick in the top 5. You'd have to be an absolute moron not to pick a good player in the top 5. Will that player be a bust? Possibly. What does it matter? Aforementioned owner cut more than half the scouts in the organization anyway.
6) We stuff any players with grit and emotion into the minors. How the (frank) is Haley not on this roster back in October? He's played great at Bridgeport, while other get promoted or misued or played because they helped Wang reach the cap FLOOR. Even a guy like Martin, I feel someone talked to him and asked him "to tone it down" or something.
7) I'm not going on....I hate writing these things. I'm officially sick of this franchise, but I'm such a dumbass (the kind Wang loves) that I'd root for this team regardless.

Haley being called up now needs to be on Unsolved Mysteries. Why now is he called up and why now did the Isles sign a cheap shot guy from the OHL? This team makes decisions that are all over the map. I think Wang and Snow get off pissing off the fans.

What this team need more of is toughness, grit, etc...

We need Haley, Martin, Czikas, and so on to be competive in this league.

Guys that will go through a wall for you.

Konopka was a good example.... wasn't the greatest player, but he would do anything for you.

One thing I wish the league would look @ is having to put kids back in Jrs. as opposed to the AHL.

Some of these kids are too good for the CHL, and not ready for the NHL.

They should let them play in the AHL.

I agree with trading them @ the trade deadline.

I really thought they should have been traded... but who knows what was offered, and what the conversations were with the players and their agents.

Your say 4th yr and Garth Snow says 5th yr? Hummm.

One of you is wrong.

I posted the interview a few weeks back. He stated when the rebuild started. He himself said in his own words that we are in the 5th yr of the rebuild.

You say its the 4th yr and stand buy it? Ok. Lets assume your correct.

So then your happy with a GM who cant even count to 5 correctly?

This is the guy you want rebuilding your team? Good luck Mr Optimist,

Halmo may turn out to be another Haley!!!

Grit with some scoring touch.

3rd or 4th line guy.

Why not take a chance on him?

I'm good right now... this offseason is huge for the Isles.

We finally have a good core of youth on this team.

Their not as bad as people think... better than last year. But lost that grit factor. Which they need to get back.

If Snow doesn't get them into the playoffs next year... and they pick in the top 5 again, then fire him.

I'm sorry can you give me some examples of how we are trying to win? Did I miss the Islanders adding anyone at the deadline? I'll drop this topic after this.

The NHL can't get rid of Wang and snow because the team is bad. They are fielding teams well within the rules. The old ny giants owners wanted nothing but to make a profit

Bettman should at least be telling Wang to hire a real GM. A NY former dynasty team being this bad cannot be good for the NHL.

I've got no problem grabbing a guy like him for the Isles. We all agree that we need more Toughness.

What baffles me is. Why did we sign him?

We have similar guys like Blair Riley, Gallant and Haley buried in the AHL. Is this guy any different?

Doesnt make sense when the mind set of the organization says we wont ever bring him up.

One scouts Quote:
Via LHH, here’s a brief scouting report.

In his time in the OHL, Halmo has always been one of the most feared hitters in the league. He’s also been the type of player who constantly walks the line between clean and dirty, has seen his share of suspensions, and driven opposing fans to the point of anger. But if he’s on your team, you love him. His offensive game really took a big step forward last year playing with Andrew Shaw and the two of them were dynamite in the Attack playoff run to the OHL championship. This year, he’s improved even more and currently sits 3rd in the league with 36 goals scored. While I don’t anticipate him to be a league scoring champion at the next level, he looks like a solid energy player for an NHL team in the future. He certainly has to be encouraged by the success Andrew Shaw has had professionally this season.*****

Hope Isles change their philosophy on the type of team they want and bring up a couple of guys like this for their 4th line but Frankly I dont see it.
