He is coming back at the worst possible time. Down the stretch and the playoffs where the intensity and physicality are amped up even more.

I'd have sat out this whole season if I was him. Start in the pre-season and work your way back. He isn't 30 years old, the kid has a lot of years left to try and win.

forsberg missed the entire season back in 02 or 03, came back for the playoffs and led the entire league in scoring. just saying.

Step 1. Jump over the boards

Step 2. Ignore play and chirp at anyone on the other team

Step 3. Slash or cheaply hit somebody during the play, or after a whistle- jab someone with the butt of a stick OR give an unnecessary push to the chest/facewash

Step 4. Once engaged, push back no more than 3 times

Step 5. Skate away chirping like a little puss.

Step 6. Jump back over boards

Step 7. Take a drink from the Gatorade bottles on the bench

Step 8. Towel off with a Gatorade towel

Step 9. Wait until it's your turn

Step 10. Rinse and repeat steps 1-9

he also had three 20+ goals seasons in a row. He did chirp but he was effective. He was pretty tough, he didn't always skate away. He's not all that different from Hartnell really....

Have this feeling tonight that the team that scores more goals will probably win. Just a hunch.

Ilya Bryzgalov will get the nod for Philadelphia on Saturday.
It will be Bryzgalov's 11th straight start, but he might not get a game off in the near future. "Bryz is fresh; he's ready," Flyers coach Peter Laviolette said. Bryzgalov has earned two shutouts in his last three starts, including a 28-save silencing of the Florida Panthers on Thursday.

The East is wide open. The playoffs should be fun.

Pittsburgh may actually win the division (which I think is going to happen).

NYR vs Flyers first round of the playoffs. Wouldnt that be a nice opening round matchup.

In fact, Forsberg was medically cleared to play before the season and chose not to. So he was a healthy guy that whole time. He was at a great advantage to everyone who'd been worn down through that season. His only disadvantage was timing and game conditioning and that doesn't last long.

@sbaickerCSN No Voracek, no Meszaros, no Timonen, no Kubina. But Jagr's in tonight

Looks like we'll get to see more of Mr. Manning.
