As long as "Mandog" is in the lineup ill be happy.

I prefer Kubina return, as well as Timonen and Meszaros soon there after. Manning after a few rough shifts, made a nice showing for himself last night.

I googled this earlier in the year and was suprised to see that they already did for the most part.

Devil in the White City is historical fiction, though.

Yeah, she mentioned that, but the author is well-versed in the history. K is quite the avid reader. We have many nights where we are both reading and talk books.

Kubina, Timonen and Meszaros need to take their time and heal up. Hopefully they can get back on the ice soon enough.

In Bryz's words - he played big, especially after just being released from the Colts.

I have eaten at the Sparks Steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan, where Gambino Family Boss Paul Castellano was hit. Me and five guys from my squad were there not too long ago. Of course I got stuck with the bill after my credit card was last picked out of a hat.

That was hilarious.... I was howling when I heard that, of course the dolts who were around him didn't even get the joke. I think one guy laughed.

I see Harry Z was returned to the Phantoms, hopefully this signifies Jake the Snake is ready to go tomorrow night.
- PLindbergh31

i think they returned him as soon as Jagr was good to go.

16 games left, with 1 head-to-head against the Rags. 8 points back. I see it as possible, but not likely, that we get the #1 seed. Crazier things have happened, but the Rags go against a Hawks team that is holding on to a 6 seed. Things could go our way...

Possibly, but the Flyers like to have an extra forward on road trips as per their usual MO. If Voracek can't play they are at 12.

If they were 100% healthy I would say there was a chance, but with all the injuries it will be damn near impossible. If the Flyers went 12-4, the Rags would have to go 7-9 or there about. Very unlikely.

If the Flyers keep playing this well I want Pittsburgh in that first round matchup. If they beat them they should be oozing confidence after it, and the Flyers have had their number this year.

I could change it to Justin Tuck, that would be more defensive.

i agree in part, but how many times have you seen a team have a brutal first round series and then just be too burnt to continue on? i want the easiest road possible. avoiding the caps and pens in 010 was definitely a reason why they made it to the finals, imo.

There was never seen before footage of the Challenger explosion released today. Has anyone seen it?

Here is a link if anyone is interested.

I was watching in my 5th grade classroom as it happened live. Being 11 years old at the time, I didn't realize anything was wrong until I saw teachers sobbing, the tv was quickly removed from the classroom. I still remember that day like it was yesterday.

Lot of book talk, so I'll chime in. Two of my favorites were by Caleb Carr ("The Alienist" and "The Angel of Darkness"). Both turn of the century crime & forensic novels. Currently reading "Eating the Dinosaur" by Chuck Klosterman.

Saw it earlier today. The woman saying how beautiful it was after the explosion was a little odd, and I think she was the same one who said "Don't say that" after the announcement was made and someone nearby mentioned that it had exploded.

The obvious reason she was clueless is because she is in fact a woman. Joking joking joking.

Any recommendations for a good nonfiction and a good fiction book to read? I've read some Vonnegut here and there but not much else. Sad, I know.

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card.

edit: FYI it is now in production (finally) as a movie starring Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley.
