Brennan is ready to step up as well.
And in all honesty I like what I have seen from Sulzer thus far as well , I think he is a keeper. - TerryPegs
you can add another bunch of d prospects including mcnabb and pysyk
way too many puck moving d men with this team
I will be shocked if one or more is not moved during the off season |

I am trying to figure out the purpose of ennis, vanek, roy, gerbe, leino, kaleta, staff, boyes, 4 puck moving d men, lindy and darcy - homiedclown
Many men have injured their hands bashing them into walls trying to figure out the same thing. |

So far tonight since losing to Boston I've heard from Sabres fans(In not so many words)
Lindy sucks
Darcy sucks
Trade Miller
Cody Hodgson is a bust
Myers will never be good
Erhoff is horrible
Roy sucks
Our team is too small
We werent good on this last road trip
Some reference to Briere/Drury leaving in 07'
I know full well if we won 2-1 in a shootout 95% of that wouldn't have been posted. Now wonder fans come here to troll the hell out of us, its so easy. - Buffalo--Sabres
I know I've been calling Erhoff out for weeks now. The only thing worse than his stats was watching him make that stupid, ill-advised pass to Hodgson that ended up in the Bruin's first goal, or watching Krejci blow right by him on the Bruin's third goal. |

Good point. And no I do not trust Darcy as you tell from some of my posts.
I would like to see both Lindy and Darcy relieved of their duties at seasons end , just to be clear.
But yes you make a good point. I do not trust Darcy to make any moves any longer for this franchise but I fear neither are going anywhere much to my dismay. - TerryPegs
I agree.
Its to bad the sabres are built for 06-07 nhl
not the old clutch and grab hockey |

still don't understand the kaleta hate...it's not his fault he's considered a 3rd-line winger on this team |

Yea , I apologize.
Letting out some anxiety I guess.... - TerryPegs
this team needs a change.. i think it should start up front though.. the d is above average for the nhl i would say. Upfront they are heartless and gutless. we have picks we have roy, ennis, gerbe, and defensive prospects. Move JGL we have a ton in his mold. |

Well at least one thing is for sure.... We will get a retooled set of lines now that Vanek is out.
i love how so many people say this season is over. Like losing to the defending Stanley Cup Champions in the final 5 minutes with our back up goaltender AT BOSTON is such a devastating blow. We had beaten them 2 straight times previously.
We needed Vanek to hit his stride and start scoring goals but without him it will be very tough to win games.
I personally think this just exemplifies how much Vanek is over paid and under achieving. In the last 3 years Vanek has now become Timmy Connolly version 2.0. - MillerTime3011
tim connolly never lead the team in goals four years in a row...never stood in front of the net getting cross-checked for a goal...
and never had to play with derek roy outside the powerplay |

I don't either. lets get pissed at our agitator for not being the best all around 3rd liner in the game??
Vanek, Roy, Stafford, Adam, and 1/2 round picks need to be traded in order to address nothing but offensive upgrades |

kassian=rare?...yup, when he was a man amongst boys in junior...as of right now, when he's playing against men, he's been inconsistent at best and looking like a bottom-six grinder with some scoring upside
- b0s0o1
I am sure I am in the minority here, but I watched kassian play a portland playoff game last year and watched him close this year with the big club. Tropp really outplayed him in the physical end and out worked kassian along the boards. Kassian had sad that his goal was to stick with the big club but never stood out or backed his words on the ice.
IMO he was just another sabre playing not to lose instead of playing to win, a common flaw with this organization from the top down

Connolly never played LW either. You missed my point. If that is the type of game that Vanek is going to play but keeps getting injured doing it than obviously he is not the right man for the job. |

I think McNabb is the one you try to keep.. he actually has Defensive play and grit.. move pysyk, JGL or others before him (but they don't have the value either) |

I think my problem is his role
put him on the 4th line and pk time and let foligno or boyes take his spot on the third line. |

ennis should be groomed as a second-line center...period |

Agreed. I really liked Kassian for everything he was billed out to be so I watched him closely every game. He had no energy, no fire, no brute face to him.
he was the size of a lion but the heart of a gnat |

Trying to figure out what purpose Ennis has on this team, I'm hoping they don't give him a bunch of cash in the offseason because he's not worth it. - SABRES 89
I dont blame his position all on him persay.
Lindy has a hand in Ennis being so sporadic in his play just like many on this team. If Lindy could ever give any players other than the ones #1 scoring a true identity or stop bouncing life long wingers to center or keeping the same players together for more than 2 games than perhaps you would see more scoring chances from this group but apparently Lindy does not hold stock in chemistry.
His system, his constant line juggling the problems all smack you right in the face and they all lay at the feet of Lindy Ruff.
I agree to a point with Ennis but I blame Lindy for some of his shortcomings as well. |

Thank you baby jesus.
McNabb and Foligno are the only guys on the farm I really want to see up here full time.
Whitmore and Varone lead in points but I don't think that either will be a top 3 line kind of guy. |

my biggest problem with that falls on the coach
vanek has the best shot on the team and should be parked in the slot ripping them at the goalie, not down low taking a beating for 15 minutes a game |
|

ennis should be groomed as a second-line center...period - b0s0o1
put hodge with vanek and pommer
put ennis with staff and leino
put roy with boyes and gerbe
ellis tropp and kaleta..
makes more sense for the future.. becuase we need to move roy this summer |
