So Dee will you actually be watching tonight's game, or will it be business as usually listening to it on the radio.

When your team has been irrelevant for almost 2 decades.... every top 5 pick helps.

Garth filled the coffers with O & G prospects

Next 2 Drafts he needs to focus on D prospects... other then 2-3 prospects the system is barren of D

I don't exactly think Garth "filled the coffers" with offensiive prospects. I mean who are you referring too? Nelson?

I find it incredible as ineffective Rolston was for as long as he was and now they're reactionary with Grabner, now when these games pretty much mean nothing? If the y were just as proactive in the beginning of the season who knows, we may have had a realistic shot at the eight seed. Not saying the guy shouldn't be scratched but all of a sudden Jack and Garth are problem solvers, wtf?

Every top five picks matters, I agree. Especially if they are "developed" properly

If all goes uncharacteristically well for the Isles this offseason as far as everyone signing and reporting to B-port, it'd be interesting to see how the AHL forward group would do if it includes players like Kabanov, Petrov, Nelson, Lee, Rakhshani, possibly Nino, possibly Ullstrom, possibly Cizikas (I assume one, two or all three of the possibilities will be on the Isles). Looks like a good mix of size, skill, speed, flash and grit imo.

We'll see... I'll agree that we have more prospects than in Milbury times but to say we are "full" on offensive prospects is reaching. Thats not exactly the creme de la creme of "offensive" prospects where we are set there and should just pick Dmen, we're thin everywhere. It will be interesting to see if Petrov plays here number one and whether his game translates to the North American game? His numbers in the Russain League are terrible, I've heard many reasons for this but none of them seem to explain why. Ice time, playin on a scrub line, bad team, etc... Sounds like Nino to me. Interesting to watch none the less!

Lee is big on his education, we may have to see him ride out 4 years at ND before he goes pro. Or maybe not, who knows.

No young Russian player playing in the KHL ever puts up attractive looking numbers, can't go by that. Case-in-point: Ovechkin had 13g, 27p in 37 games in his draft year.

Whether or not Petrov comes over is another story. Hopefully we don't see him extend his contract, because if he does we need to just assume he'll never make it to NA.

Optional skate this AM. Jack must have thought they were tired from the travel all the way from syosset to newark. Way to go Cappy. This coach HAS to go. At least he's letting Grabner soak it in from the press box. Guess he still has one testicle. Don't know what happened to the other one, tho.

guess they don't want to play past april than... If your in the hunt you should come out flying after you found out your wife cheated on you and your dog is pregnant. Jesus christ, no heart, no grit, no determination, no intensity.

They picked it up a lot more in the final 10. Key is going to be carrying that through the final second on the clock in the 3rd.
