I do miss all the hunting specials. Especially since I can't hunt these days its still great to check out the few they have on csn once in a while. OLN was really good for outdoor enthusiasts. Unfortunately not much of us - JoeRussomanno
those bass fishing tournaments on tv were riveting, must see entertainment
I'm walking away
I see the line,
it's staring back at me
But all the debt has been paid
So I'm released as a pawn in this game
And still I'm wondering why
You never see- this from the other side
Illusion burned in your mind
I'll drain it out after I burn the bridge
Retrace the lines that I've made
So you can see the point
The faces switch with the day
And now I'm starting to track
Consistent patterns where I'm dodging the blame - 2Real

Some players feel that way... Others want to win... Thats why you care... Besides look at Zherdev... Guys that act like that dont get long term contracts like that... - RooNosHockey
carter was just as bad as zherdev and he got a monster contract
Agreed. Lehtonen doesn't have nearly the team defense in front of him that Lundqvist does, plus he went through a month-long groin pull absence and it took about 2-3 weeks to get back his game. So he has zero shot at any Vezina consideration this year, but he has been tremendous. The way Bryzgalov has played last three games is how Lehtonen has played in about 80% of his starts this season. - bmeltzer
I agree. Lehtonen should be considered for the Vezina if not for injury.

Not necessarily. It would help the teams with more financial flexibility, but I don't think players with big contracts would be released as much as you think. Perfect example, would the Flyers release Briere right now? - PLindbergh31
well not during the season cause you can't really replace him
Pronger is standing on top of Laperierre, giving him a back massage. - rockychocbill
Yeah, that picture has to be photoshopped, or the angle makes it look deceiving. Pronger is 6'6" I believe, and Briere is 5'9". That picture looks like Pronger is 7 feet tall and Briere the size of mini-me.

Briere's height has to be "in his skates," because he's closer to 5'7".

Let's rephrase this... Would the Flyers have released Briere in the offseason instead of trading Carter and Richards to fit Bryz'z contract... Yea, most likely.
13 goals allowed, and top star? Did he face 250 shots in the game? - PLindbergh31
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. It said it was a good gesture from opposing fans. . . sound like they wanted to humiliate him more by making him the top star. He was a positional player that was forced to play goalie.

Right. But teams wouldn't just be willing to eat contracts with 20-30 million dollars remaining on them. NHL owners while being extremely wealthy, don't have endless piles of cash.

Maybe, but he's owed a ton of cash. I'm sure the Flyers would love paying him 25 million to score big goals for another franchise.

*if you stare at this long enough, you start to see a happy face* - rockychocbill
when i see your face,
i can't help but feel ashamed of myself
i caused so much pain,
i was never there
i couldn't open myself up,
too scared to share the burden
to scared to bare my burning soul
my whole life, i've never felt good enough for anyone or anything
i've never tried, for fear of failing
self-destruction is the name of the game that i play when things go right
opportunity kicks down my door and i'm flying out the back
i know i (frank)ed it up, but you still said that there was hope
i didn't want it to turn out this way
and i'll bear the weight of the blame
i don't want it, but there will always be
hard feelings
