he seems to do that on the wing...but not so much at center
- b0s0o1

He needs to be placed back at Center ASAP.
What's wrong with Hodgson, Roy, Ennis as your top 3 centers?

It can't be any worse than the garbage they are tossing out there now.

Sulzer got the puck on the net, broke up a few plays, had at least one nice breakout pass and didn't make any glaring mistakes. He's already better than Weber and Sekera!
- Pairo11

He's not even in the same league when it comes to Sekera.
Weber? Yes.
Sekera? No way.

Agreed.. Should of never took Ennis of the pivot...
Vanek - CoHo - Pommers
Leino - Roy - Staff
Gerbe- Ennis - Boyes
Tropp - Ellis - Kaleta

They want Leino as a checking line center, which seems to be working so far. I'm okay with moving Roy to the wing. I'm not sure how you'd make the combo work, but there has to be a way.

Roy-Ennis-Stafford or Roy-Hodgson-Stafford and move Ennis between Vanek and Pominville.

Overall I thought the crowd was good last night at the game and people was definitely trying to be more positive instead of getting down on the usual suspects. It still wasn't at Winnipeg level, but it was a start.

Sekera needs to get in the habit of breaking up plays/taking the BODY of the forwards in front of the net instead of trying to react to the pass already made or trying to poke check the positioned forward after the puck is on his stick.

I saw him get taken off the puck more than I would like, but at least he is in there giving the opposition some grief.

Sekera gives it up like a hooker on a corner. He even has the matching purse to go along with his outfit.

I agree with the taking the body comment more.
He can do it, as he does it often in the corners, cutting off the forwards position with his body while taking the puck and making the pass.

When he begins doing that in other areas of the ice, his contract is going to look like a bargain.

Had a sick daughter last night... didn't get to watch the game for a split second.. I did get to enjoy Puss In Boots though... haha

How'd we play? Who looked good? Who looked like poop? Anyone make any great plays or really sh!tty play?

I watched the game highlights and it looks like Hodge could of had 2 assists last night but Stafford missed the put backs.

I thought I saw Boyes playing pretty well as well. Regehr was back to hitting people. Sulzer looked to be a pretty nice bottom pairing d-man as well. Weber was hitting people.

??

whenever i miss a game i just turn on my playstation, insert a copy of NHL 12, and set up a game between the two teams to let the computer play it out, this way i can see what i missed with total accuracy and realism and after the game is over i'll make a few trades to see whats possible for the sabres in the future

Jeremy White is such an a$$-clown. For weeks he's been talking about tanking to get top 3 pick because he says team sucks, teams needs toughness and needs a superstar and blah blah blah.

Now he is going on how great Buffalo is playing and how dangerous they will be in the playoffs. Like, WTF???

Truth is they aren't even playing that great. They are winning, but not firing on all cylinders. Last night they should have destroyed the Canes with that PP advantage and shot advantage.

WPG has @ Vancouver tonight and @ Calgary tomorrow night.

Tough games.

They don't play again til Wed against Dallas then.

WSH and TBL play eachother tonight. As long as we don't have 3 pt games we should be good.
