What do you think Sweeden's will be???
Kronwall-Karlsson
Edler-Enstrom
Hedman-Larsson
SICK!!! - riceroni
With Lundqvist as the goalie
Sedin, Sedin, Franzen, Zetterberg, Backstrom, Eriksson is a pretty solid top 6 as well |

Yep, I have a feeling Sweden needs to be solidly in the Gold medal talk.. They will be tough... |

You have to give Cam Fowler a little look in a year to make this squad. I know he is having a tough year, but another couple of seasons under his belt... he could be a bottom 3 pairing. I like how Shattenkirk didnt get a nod either... |

I was just thinking about this too. Don't forget Ryan Whitney was on the team and I am hoping by 2014 he is playing at the top of his game and can maybe replace Rafalski's spot...
Potntial roster:
Parise Kesler Callahan
Brown Stastny Kane
Ryan Pavelski Kessel
Backes Oshie Stepan
Pominville
Whitney Suter
McDonaugh Yandle
EJ JJ
Carlson Byfuglien/Orpik
Thomas/Miller/Howard/Quick/Schneider....
With Parise, Callahan, Brown, Backes, Pominville...and the extra leadership of Kesler, Suter... could be scary.. - SabresOnAWarpath
Whitney is HORRIBLE!!!! |

It was eye opening how good Jack and Eric did for team USA last time around. Wonder why Eric can't take it to another level on a consistent basis in the NHL?
And Yandle is a guy I watch on a regular basis. Honestly, he should have been in the conversation for the last Olympic team. Ek is right, if he wasn't in PHX, he'd be in every conversation when discussing Norris candidates. He's solid in all 3 zones and has that South Boston attitude on the ice.
He'd make any team better. |

Yandle is a beast. I see him play quite a bit here on the west coast and he definatly gets screwed out of a lot of considerations. |

If I had to win a game right now, I'd rather Ward as my goalie. |

If its my team Ryan Suter and Brooks Orpik are my shutdown pair, I don't think there are two better American Defenseman in the league. EJ has a lot of growing to do, I see him get beat a few times a game, maybe in two years it will be different. - CanuckYou
By 2014, Ryan McDonagh might be one of the top 3 shutdown guys in the entire NHL..
If it's my team I go with
Suter-Fowler
Orpik-Byfuglien
Yandle-McDonagh
No idea where to put either of the Johnson's, or possibly Shattenkirk or Carlson
Martin and Komisarek will have no chance. |

Is Myers Canadian or American? Anyways Giordano has a better shot at the Olympics than Alzner. - flamminghead
Myers was born in Houston, TX . So he would be American unless he has duel citizenship... But I dont know. But if he is American, he is a top pairing guy on the American Squad for sure |

He plays for Canada. Much like Cam Fowler was born in Windsor and plays for USA. |

He's considered Canadian because he played in the WJC for Canada. |

That third pairing is shaky but I don't think there's any chance Komisarek or Martin make the squad.
2014 is a long ways away though and there could be many other d-men emerging in the league between then and now. - RAG$4LIFE
trade you Ryan McDonagh for Scott Gomez and our retarded GM |

I think Chelios is before Komi on the depth list for USA. |

myers was born in the US, but grew up in canada. he was part of the canadian development program, and has already represented canada on the world stage. if he plays, it has to be for canada. |

the Swedes are my favorites heading into the tournament. Kronwall-Karlsson,
Edler-Enstrom, Hedman-Larsson on D plus the top 6 you mentioned in addition to Hank in net. That's an insanely solid team. |

as of right now i think my team Canada would be (if healthy of course):
Stamkos - Crosby - Giroux
Perry - Gezlaf - Nash
M.Richards - Towes - E.Stall
Iggy - Nuget Hopkins - Tavares
Webber - Doughty
Keith - Seabrook
Letang - Pietrangelo
Price - Luongo - Fluerry
and spares would be - Duchane, Embarle, Carter, Myers, Hamuis |

Same with Cam Fowler. Born in Ontario, raised in MI. He'll def be on USA's roster. I don't see Myers touching team Canada in 2 years, they're just way too deep. |

They'd have to be considered the favorite. They've had the team in previous years... but Tommy Salo.... oh that Tommy Salo! |
