He will absolutely be there if healthy and the nhl allows the players to go. This is his first full year and he is already on the top pair playing 25-30 minutes a night. He is a head of staal. Also, his skating is a huge plus
Edit: but they won't be as good as Canada's overall defense. stupid question to be honest - bonzo11
Yes I agree with you, not saying Mcdonagh isn't good, but when comparing USA to CANADA's D they just aren't really comparible. |

I agree with Riceroni. By 2014 Sweden's defence could be better than both Canada and the US. Add to the above possibly carl Gunnarsson who is very solid on a bad team, or a character guy like Oduya, and they will be explosive. - GPMike
Karelson Hedman Larson will be very very good think kronwall will be a little old at that point |

Stamkos-Crosby(C)-Giroux
Iginla(A)-Getzlaf-Perry
Tavares-Toews(A)-Staal
Eberle-M.Richards-E. Kane
Extra: Nash, Hall, Benn
Doughty-Weber(A)
Keith-Letang
Peitrangelo- Bieksa
Extra:Del Zotto Hamhuis
Price/Fleury/Ward/ - leebrien21
Nash over Iginla. Iginla will be 37, probably a 4th liner with Richards and Kane. Iginla + Kane = get more black people playing hockey. (eg. Simmonds in Philly)
Interesting to see where Benn will be in 2 years. |

watching Erik Johnson on a game by game basis, he may be one of the worst D-Men in the league in his own end.. I'm sure team USA can find someone better |

Nash is a scratch while Tavares, Eberle, and E. Kane have never played in the Olympics before..
Crosby is gonna be lucky to play in the Olympics let alone the NHL. - JVince117
Okay by that logic, Let's throw Bryan McCabe in there. He's got Olympic expirience.
Nash is also obviously going to play forever, so there is no reason to give some dynamic younger guys a shot at making an impact.
Good work, Bud.

Look at who's going to be coming off of the forward roster and who's going to be added on. Canada is going to score at will. I'm not trying to be a homer and I'm not trying to slag the Americans because they'll put a good team together too, but Canada has some amazing scorers who weren't on the team last time. - Jeffmt
i just see sweden coming out on top
and while russia has a knock on them and their play, i wouldnt put it past them playing on home ice
us is good but not as good |

In no particular order: Crosby/Nash/Stamkos Perry/Getzlaf/Hall Eberle/E.Kane/Toews Bergeron/Tavares/E.Stall. Weber/Letang Keith/Seabrook Doughty/Petrangelo Just to name a few of the many reasons why USA is gonna get slapped. The games in 2010 would not have been as close if not for Miller. How'd Ron Wilson even have a job in Toronto after making the comments "The better team lost"?Let's not forget Kesler's cocky comments b4 the game.Just another cocky American who thinks he's Gods gift to hockey and nude photo shoots. That's boy! |

Because they would play Eberle and tavares over Nash? Look at the rest of their lineup. by your logic they should have lost in 2010. They had a few first timers on that team. Including the guy who scored the ot gold medal winner |

A typical Canucks fan response, ALWAYS turning the conversation into something it's not if your opinion isn't favorable towards Vancouver.
This isn't about the Canucks and Maple Leafs you (frank)in moron, this is much bigger and Hamhuis doesn't make the cut! End of story!
There are at least a half-dozen D-men around the league that get the call before Hamhuis does. - As_I_See_It
Hamhuis is from B.C... we could have 6 defenseman on Team Canada before Ontario even has 1. |

Fair enough... Let me know when Tavares, Eberle, and Hall play a regular season at Crosby's level and I will reconsider.
And with the rest of that line-up they did win the gold but didn't they also lose two games or was it just one to USA in the prelims? |

I know, right? Who would give the most explosive player in the game a shot when we have Patrick Marleau, Brendan Morrow and Dany Heatly sitting at home with Olympic expirience.

yea thats not what the F*ck I meant at all.
There is a difference between over the hill players and players in their prime like Nash is.
Stamkos and Crosby are worlds ahead of where eberle, tavares, and hall are currently so don't try to compare them to eachother.
