As good as their D is, it won't be quite as good as Canada's. Their top 6 forwards could match up against any other team's but their bottom 6 won't be even close to as good as Canada's. Canada won't have one weak line. I'd probably give Sweden the edge in goal. - Jeffmt

Where is Dany Heatley in all of these lists? Its Dany Heatley! - Lohaus
He'll get an invite to camp, won't get any PP time, and demand a trade to Germany. |

In my opinion, whoever has the best starter has the best goaltending. At least right now, I'd take Lundqvist over any of those guys. Who knows where he'll be in 2014 though. |

Pietrangelo Franson - Scooby_Doo
Unfortunately for us, Gardiner is American. That being said, he probably isn't good enough to cut the US roster, but he'd easily make Canada's weaker roster. |

I'm not sure if its been asked by is Matt Barry no longer the Kings Blogger? I've noticed all his blogs have now been taken down. - deader2818
He doesn't like being censored and someone edited out what he said about Penner (not being able to score at home or on the ice)... So he's posting on his own site. It's actually much funnier without him being held back. |

A typical Canucks fan response, ALWAYS turning the conversation into something it's not if your opinion isn't favorable towards Vancouver.
This isn't about the Canucks and Maple Leafs you (frank)in moron, this is much bigger and Hamhuis doesn't make the cut! End of story!
There are at least a half-dozen D-men around the league that get the call before Hamhuis does. |

Look at who's going to be coming off of the forward roster and who's going to be added on. Canada is going to score at will. I'm not trying to be a homer and I'm not trying to slag the Americans because they'll put a good team together too, but Canada has some amazing scorers who weren't on the team last time. |

I'd expect Hamhuis to be there for sure, he's just such a good player. I've seen lots of talk about Bieksa on here, but he's terrible without Hamhuis, and he was exposed in the final when Hamhuis went down.
Heres my lineup mix and match lines, pairings and whatnot
Giroux - Crosby - Tavares
Eberle - Nugent-Hopkins - Hall
Perry - Getzlaf - Stamkos
Lucic - Toews - Staal
Nash, Benn, Duchenne
Weber - Doughty
Keith - Pietrangelo
Letang - Hamhuis
Meyers - Seabrook
Price
Ward
Luongo*
*Toss-up between Luongo and Fleury, went with Luo because defending gold medalist, but in 2014 if he has better stats, Fleury |

Nash is a scratch while Tavares, Eberle, and E. Kane have never played in the Olympics before..
Crosby is gonna be lucky to play in the Olympics let alone the NHL. |

Kronwall-Karlsson
Edler-Enstrom
Hedman-Larsson
SICK!!! - riceroni
I agree with Riceroni. By 2014 Sweden's defence could be better than both Canada and the US. Add to the above possibly carl Gunnarsson who is very solid on a bad team, or a character guy like Oduya, and they will be explosive. |
