there are things people can do that don't cost anything.. ever go to a park, play an outdoor sport other than golf, go for a hike... - SabresFaninIndiana
Yep I do that in the summer.
Outside of this year there's only so many times I can go sledding before I want to slit my throat.
I also work 2-? 5/6 days a week, so when I can do that stuff my son is at school. |

It's 2012, there's people who still live like that?

Are you serious?
That was Five and six years ago!!!
Either he's gotten worse or with the game not being as "open" as it was post-lockout...
He simply CAN NOT perform
True or false?
In the last FOUR seasons, he has had ONLY one "good one" - jdfitz77

two seasons slightly below his ppg average, one slightly above |

Or he's had less talent around him which would explain why Colorado has picked in the top 5 over the last few years?
He's been in the league for 6 years but I see you just want to ignore his good seasons to try and make a point. - dadeadhead
It makes a hell of a lot more sense to discount seasons that were 5 & 6 years ago than it does the most recent seasons....
Is Boyes still the same 40goal scorer he was 4 years ago?
And PLENTY of guys I'd consider TRUE "top line" players have put up good numbers on crappy teams
You seem to want to ignore that stastny has not been as good as his first two seasons
Make all the excuses for him you want
If it was just one bad season, I'd brush it off & agree with you...
But 3 out of 4?
Not taking that risk... Not at 6.6m a season...
And not for what we'd likely have to give up to get him

A 1st, 2nd and a player.
You can replace the 1st when you trade Roy.
He's had one bad season and he was injured.
Grabovski just signed a 5.5 mil deal and Stastny is a better player than he is. |

I don't see Colorado trading him because he's already got a contract. Their roster could have a lot of turnover after this year. The GM there has his work cut out for him already. I don't see him actively trying to move a guy that's under contact when there are so many other things he needs to worry about 1st. |

half seasons aren't worth 5.5. I think we really jumped the gun on that signing, I think Myers could have been had for less after back to back mediocre campaigns. - BuffaJoe
I don't think there was a chance on earth that they were going to get him for less than they did.
Every team is overpaying big time for young, talented players, with a ton of potential, and Myers checks all of those boxes, and he's a D man to boot.
With the way salaries are being given out the past 2-3 years, it seems there is around a 20% markup for potential when it comes to young players.
That would make Tyler's contract worth about $4.4M, which is right on the money.
That said, the one UFA I would go after big time would be Suter from the Predators. Sign him, make him Myers D partner, sit back and watch the chaos they would cause together. |

even if you weren't i don't care.. in the winter time i sit in an office 90% of the time on the internet or on the phone.. when i go home i have neither. Most of my friends and family know that if they want to call me it has to be during the day or they call my wife.
I may be very active on here during the day (in the winter) but that is because i work in an office 90% of the time and by myself most of that time too, so i get bored and use this to help break up my work. |

i doubt they want anything we are offering.. They may want to move him if duchene and o'reillys prices get too high though.. |
