I thought my Miller for Crawford, Beach, Pirri, and Krueger deal was really possible.

It does seem like inflation has been on the rise REALLY fast lately. A year or two ago That Grabo deal would have been 3.5-4, for a 40-50 pt guy.

Roy's deal was already 4yrs ago though.


Connolly got 4.75 last year.


Grabovski got what he'd of gotten on the open mark, Burke got him for the term he wanted.

If he gets 50-60 points in each of the next 5yrs its a win/win deal for them.

Again not that I'd want Grabovski, I can see why he got what he got.

No offense to posters on this site that reference the game, but it is one of my biggest pet peeves when video games get brought up. Anyone can make any deal happen. Even Ovechkin and Crosby can be had, because they want kids to be able to add those guys to their favorite teams. They want kids to be able to create dream teams.

If a trade doesn't work out according to their GM formula, just keep adding low round draft picks until the "satisfaction" bar grows. A real GM would hang up on your ass. So stupid.

Their info is so outdated, and even though the rosters get updated with things being online these days, the whole system has so many flaws. It's just not even remotely relatable to real life.

personally i think its less of bragging about how good they are at the game as much as it is being able to (almost) completely trash talk someone anonymously.

I know, it just seems like they get brought up a LOT, and I just don't get what the point of even bringing them up is when it's so obviously inaccurate.

And as for Roy/Grabo, you're right, that contract was signed several years ago. I guess I am of the thinking that there are ways to get good value out of your contracts. That contract to me seems like it will be more beneficial to Grabo than the Leafs.

That said, (and like you mentioned) if that translates into a happier Grabo, it could mean a more productive Grabo, which benefits the Leafs, making it worth it.

and bill collector has to be a fantastic job.. i bet you heard some of the best excuses and got called the best names ever. i love watching shows on tv that are about parking attendants or repo men, they get ripped for being low lifes when they are the ones actually doing a job and paying there bills while these other people who are high society are not.. makes me smile every time.
