Potentially, but fromt he rumblings it sounded like Schenn would have fetched more, again no way to be sure, but annoys me that it may have been a possibility

Haha... I'm not sure what is more surprising. That Marchand, at any point of the fight, was upright and not turtling or that Connolly didn't injure himself in multiple ways throwing Marchand to the ice.

Its time for Kessel to become a real hockey player and that means not getting pampered by the Coach. I think he would be better defensively if it weren't for Wilsons system.

Maybe but i think he probably was praying for not having to go under Burkes desk to save his Job. Friday Night his prayer finally came true.

to the point, i think Randy is a great coach and will give the Leafs, as a team, a sound structure to play around. i do think though that as long as the goalies continue to flounder he'll struggle to win no matter what he says or what system he brings in. So many soft goals and regardless of what Burke says publically, no way he doesn't see it. I also have a feeling that a few players will have to be shipped out as it already seems like it won't work. Right choice of coach though, he's a winner and a non nonsense approach.

After listening to Blair and his callers - Im not so sure that Carlyle is the right guy - Anaheim was terrible this year with Carlyle - basement of the west with CLB - now with a players type of coach with Boudreau the Ducks are only 6pts out of the playoffs and now 1 game over .500 - They havent added anyone of any significance to their roster

Im not so sure that the hard ass routine will work on the 2nd youngest team in the league

They were also commenting that Burke is now the focus of the fans if losing continues to the end of next year

I'd love to know Wilson's real opinion of what was happening. I'm not a fan of how he was let go or how Burke had parting shots about philosophical differences in how teams play. If Burke wanted a tough as nails team, its up to him to build it. Even if Wilson was "on the same page" as Burke, he can't just tell Lupul, Bozak, MacArthur, Grabovski and Kessel to be physically intimidating power forwards. I do feel for Wilson because the writing was on the wall and he just looked like a defeated man by the end.
