You know whats interesting... in 2007.... only 2 american teams had waiting lists for season tickets. Buffalo and Pittsburgh (coming off a great year)... every canadian team had a lengthy waiting list except ottawa... with Toronto, Montreal and Calgary having the longest waiting list. Toronto apparently over 20 thousand people.
According to CBC... roughly 15 to 20 percent of season ticket holders for Buffalo Sabres are Canadian residents.
This in comparison to some NFL teams.... with some having over 100 thousand people on the waiting list (packers and eagles being the highest at the time) - TimThomasLunge
That's really no different than saying half of the ticket holders of the Kansas City Chiefs are residents of the state of Kansas. When you live on a border, be it state or country, that's going to happen.
You know what else? Citizens of Toronto and the surrounding areas watch a lot of our TV channels as well (Channel 2, 4, 7, etc.). When you live on a border, you share things. |

Southern Ontario is Sabre territory. That's why you'll never see a team in Hamilton.

I still can't fathom this. I wonder where the loose line is that seperates Blue & Gold and Blue & White. |

Canadians taunting Americans for their gold medal win is like a nerd taunting the cool guy because the nerd won at Dungeons and Dragons.
We really don't care. The Olympics are irrelevant in this country, including Olympic hockey. The only time Americans cared about Olympic hockey was probably in 1980 - and they didn't even really care then. They just cared after the fact because of the story - not the actual sport.
That said, play Miller the next few games. The team looks like they're starting to gel a bit (excluding the Jets game). I'm more concerned about the top line than I am about Miller's energy right now. |

My favorite part is that they're criticizing him for an achievement they'll never be able to accomplish themselves. It's really classy. That's right up there with the Philly fans booing Santa Clause. - HonkFortheGoose
I don't blame them for booing Santa. Pretty sure being a Flyer fan guarantees coal in your stocking. |

You'll see the Bills in Toronto before a hockey team in Hamilton. |

Leafs up 1-0 on Bruins quick. Humm, to watch the Bruins pathetic broadcast or the Leafs love gushing one? ...Anyway, Bruins start to see what happens when they have injuries. |

That's who I'm rooting for. It's not easy, but my dislike for the Leafs and the Sabres needing them to lose makes it tolerable. |

Randy Carlyle makes the Leafs a 1-2-2 team, in other words the trap. |
