How many times did Buffalo win it during that span?
- JetsCameHome

The first city the Cup came to this summer was Buffalo. Why was that? Oh, that's right, the Bruins owner resides here in Buffalo. He's Buffalo born and bred.

I may actually just put the names in a hat and pick one out at a time. It's hard to decide otherwise. I might go with Eruzione next since he was the Captain.
- HonkFortheGoose

You should go with Paul Hamilton.

Not even the french canadians chant silver medal anymore, because it's not relevant anymore. You should have chanted it once theUS obtained the silver medal. Oh wait. The NHL didn't believe in that stinkhole of a city in the middle of NOWHEREZ until this year. Yes I've been there. It was silver vs gold goalies the other night. Mr Silver medal won, and Mr Gold medal was pulled in the first 5 minutes. JETZ ROOL!

Who cares about 7ungo, that's another story. You realize French Canadians live in Winnipeg too right?

You also realize the Jets season ticket list was capped off at 8000 right?

And we have a TGIF now! I guess all we need now is a waterfall and we're even.

I have an Orr (hides) and a Schoenfeld.

Figured they were a good start. Would like a Scott Stevens next.

Washington, St. Louis, or NJ?

Only about 8000 less than the Sabres have a cap of. That's impressive.

Personally I might go with the old school St Louis one.

That is the only Gretzky jersey I'm missing for the collection.

I disliked that style.

Oh boy, selective reading how I love you! I said there are 1500 people on a WAITING LIST.

The season ticket base here is over 15,000. So that would fill your arena. With no tickets to spare for the general public. The FN Center seats 18,690 and currently has over 1500 people still on the waiting list.

And if you don't like what you're reading here, then go somewhere else. This is the message board for the Sabres blogger after all.

You know whats interesting... in 2007.... only 2 american teams had waiting lists for season tickets. Buffalo and Pittsburgh (coming off a great year)... every canadian team had a lengthy waiting list except ottawa... with Toronto, Montreal and Calgary having the longest waiting list. Toronto apparently over 20 thousand people.

According to CBC... roughly 15 to 20 percent of season ticket holders for Buffalo Sabres are Canadian residents.

This in comparison to some NFL teams.... with some having over 100 thousand people on the waiting list (packers and eagles being the highest at the time)

In 05/06 you could walk up a get a ticket for any place in the building on game day.

So pissed I didn't buy the 3 seats next to me back then.

MTS fits what?.. 15000 people... a cute little arena by NHL standards. That may have been impressive in the AHL but in the NHL it is small and is considered a joke.

I think thousands of people from each organization kick themselves for not buying season tickets when they could have.

At least they sell out game in and game out.

I can think of a few teams that can't.

The Panthers sell more tickets to Sabres fans than home fans during our games. I heard that from Steven Colbert.

I have seasons.

Would've been nice to have the extra tickets now that I'm older and people have bigger families.

I think selling out will ever be an issue for them.. (not just because of the size)... the issue has always been corporate sponsorship. Its better than it was when they were first there... but still not up to par with most markets.

I still think they should just get rid of florida... and phoenix all together. Leave it at 28 teams for a few years... if quebec can get an arena then they can bring on a team and possibly somewhere else.

Or bring it back to 6 teams so the maple leafs have a chance to make the playoffs

Or Send Florida to Quebec and Phoenix to Hartford.

Oh how I long for a Toronto, Boston, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, Hartford, and Buffalo division.
