only gm to ever go from best record in the nhl to 2 years of non playoff hockey

I am amazed he kept his job

I would have fired him after briere and drury walked and he gaffed about vanek raising that price tag up another mil per season

he caught lightning in a bottle after the lockout and f ucked the team up royally

that makes two cup contenders he dismantled

Very true...though I think the first one was dismantling itself, that team didn't have a long shelf life.

The post-lockout team certainly could have done more damage if handled better.

Regier likes to overpay for skill but refuses to shell out bucks for heart/grit/work ethic.

Then again, when he overpays Gaustad as an RFA we all rip him.

I happened to be eating yogurt as I just saw Burke's picture on a dude's junk.

I will never eat yogurt again.

I think the deal he signed Sekera to was not market driven. He just clearly over paid for a 5/6 d-man.

sekera, to me, is in the mold of alexei zhitnik (including his miles wide shots) whereas at the very least he can log big minutes and hold his own...$2.75m per isn't that far off

I get a good laugh about that one. How does one come to the logical decision that giving a player like that 3.5M/yr is a good idea?

When Sekera loses the puck and crosschecks the guy in the face because of it let me know.

Montador falls down in front of Miller and the puck floats perfectly to the opposing team for a one-timer to beat us in OT. That is my personal favorite for D-men.

if Darcy met in the middle with Peca, that team had 3 more years to make a run because Dom would have stayed

all that was missing was a 25 goal winger to go opposite satan and a 25 minute d man

and no line was ever going to outwork the peca line IMO

Same logical decision that gave Bobby Holik a 5yr 45mil deal?

It has been speculated Cabby.

How about:

Vanek Ennis/Hodgson Pommer
Leino Ennis/Hodgson Stafford
Gerbe Roy Kaleta
Ellis Boyes Tropp

Roy had his best year playing 3rd line - no?
