traditonally miller wears down after that many in row

Maybe the Sabres shouldn't make a tradition out of digging a hole early in the year and needing to wear Miller into the ground just to squeak into the playoffs

Make an Irish coffee, pour it in a bowl and use it as a substitute for Milk with Corn Flakes. I'm telling you it's not only a great tasting breakfast, but a good way to quiet the voices in your head.

I hate assigning blame to one aspect of the organization because they win collectively, and they lose collectively.

However the more I watch this franchise over the years the more I believe of all their shortcomings the single biggest person holding this team back is Lindy Ruff. That makes me sad because I supported him for most of his tenure when others wanted him gone, but even I've strayed to the dark side now.

Likely at a fraction of what Toronto did though. Given how thin we are at center wouldn't a Tim Connolly at $3 mil for this season have helped us more than Ville Leino at over $4mil?

Toronto will have $10+ million tied up in Grabo and Tin Man next season

Well the thing is you can make a case for Regier. As much as we all bag him, and at times he deserves it, there are aspects of his job that he does relatively well.

The players on the ice might not be the Canadian Gold medal winning team, but they're not chopped liver either. It's the coaches responsibility to put them all in a position to be successful.

**Edit**

Strictly from an "on paper" perspective and taking raw talent into consideration are there 8 teams in the eastern conference who are better than the Sabres?

you can throw heaps of blame on regier...

i don't get where he's such a great judge of talent...

look at how many hockey players he's had as opposed to skill players...
look at the (lack of) depth at center

look at how many cup-winners on the roster since drury left

nah...he's still on my sh!t list

edit: hatty!!!

y'all are slackers...gonna put you on the sabres' top-line

only gm to ever go from best record in the nhl to 2 years of non playoff hockey

I am amazed he kept his job

I would have fired him after briere and drury walked and he gaffed about vanek raising that price tag up another mil per season

he caught lightning in a bottle after the lockout and (frank)ed the team up royally

that makes two cup contenders he dismantled
