easy there cowboy.

Subban throws the same hit all the time, difference... he didnt hit a head. yet. // Wont be surprised either way... but my god, why dont these players keep their head up when he is on the ice, particularly coming' around the boards.

Players should be able to make that kind of mistake without exposing themselves to brain damage.

or keep their head up like they teach you when youre 8yrs old to advoid brain damage.... we will agree to disagree about the hit. Like I said in another forum, if he "targeted" the head... that is quite the physics trick to time it that well, considering Kronwall him with his back pretty much.

Dont confused incidental contact with the oppositions head vs targeting the head.... too much loose jargon whenever a head gets touched.

the isles are one of the best drafting teams in the NHL....

they are just horrible at working with guys and all the great players they draft they trade or walk away...

Even if you assume the hit was ok, the refs were clearly a bunch of a$$h0les.

Unsportsmanlike on Rinaldo, Roughing on Hartnell?

No consistency.

If you are wearing stripes and don't want to protect the players, at least let the players protect their own. For any employee that wasn't in a union, they would be fired for such a disgraceful performance.

I think the Red Wings need to be investigated for possibly running a bounty program.

what about,

Potvin
Bossy
LaFontaine
Gillies
D Sutter
B Sutter
Flatley

Now that's an impressive draft class.

In 1999 we had four first round picks. With those picks the Isles took, Connolly (5th), Pyatt (8th), Mezei (10th), and Kudroc (28th). After the Sedins were picked 2&3 there was pretty much nothing left - well Havlat was bouncing around.

Oh wait, Detroit took Zetterberg in the 7th round

Ek,

You should have a live NHL scoreboard on the site. It might get ya some more visitors or more hits - whatever tickles your fancy. Regardless, get it done.

you left off the biggest name and man of all....CHARA

i think in the last 10 years the islanders biggest drafting mistake is the lack of d-men taking in the first round. passing on luke schenn to drop down and take bailey was a big mistake. this past draft not taking dougie hamilton was a huge mistake
