He's an ok 3rd liner.
He won't hit 30 goals on the habs. - Dgrdnr
Guess time will tell - he made AK46 expendable as soon as we traded for him - we basically dumped Cammy's entire cap hit with getting Bourque
Why did the Flames not sign Cammy after he hit 39 - why did they let him walk? |

He'll be able to visit the waitresses at Local 522 so he may play better... just don't tell his wife/fiance... - geta02it

Ya but there must've been a reason to let him go after hitting 39
Flames thought they were making a good deal for Phaneuf - on paper it looked good
Hagman 20 - 30 goals
Stajan 20 goals
White 50 points ------> Babchuk
Mayers -
Well looks like a good amount of money coming off the books for the Flames - but how many of the UFAs are coming back? |

It was a cap decision more than anything. The thought was that Jokinen and Jaybow were more important to the overall team success than Cammy. |

Perhaps attitude as well - LA traded him - CGY let him walk - MTL trades him during a game after he makes comments
That's why it would have been nice to have him in the lineup tonight - to see if any of the MTL guys really went after him |

He was actually pretty loved here. I don't think it was anything more than a business decision. |

What a sloppy performance that was. If the Flames keep playing like that it will be their last win. |

Considering half their forwards are injured. It's a good win
Iggy showed up, and even stajan did some good |

Very impressed with Iginla blocking shots at the end. Also excited that they proved they cld win a game picking up their goalie. It game me an optimistic outlook actually. |

Both Iginla goals were perfect examples of how he needs to play to be a difference maker on this team.

Love the optimism! Hate to pee on all these positive waves but remember Montreal are the last place team in the Eastern Conference. Iggy played the way he has to but once we play teams with urgency & pushback, we are going to struggle & he cant do it with 2 lines full of AHLers. I'm more concerned that we have yet another injury, my lord, this is like 1 a game, we wont have anything left by April. Playoffs for the Flames will require nothing short of a miracle on Olympia Way.
But if that miracle does happen, I will personally buy a case of Crown Royal Black to celebrate with all my Flames brothers from Hockey Buzz. I know Whipper would probably crack the first bottle. |

Seriously? We get the emergency recall we've all been dreaming about? - jtommyt
Yeah he can only play until one of injured players is ready to come back. I think the lasy player to do this was B Schenn. |

That's pretty exciting. Does he replace a specific player? Or is it any forward that comes back that would bump him back down? |

Any forward that is ready I believe.
That tells me Cammy won't be ready for Friday... |

Not sure about playing any longer than 9 games or until one of the injured he replaced gets back. More than 9 games & we trigger burning the 1st year of his 3 year entry level contract. Cant imagine Feaster doing that. As for where to play, top 6 is the only way to go. He fits the same category as Hall & Nugent Hopkins. Top 6 or nothing at all. Putting him with bottom 6 plugs is not good for his confidence or development. If we go for it, may as well go all-in. Excited to see how he fares at this time of year & level of NHL competition. |

Didn't we do the same thing with Backlund? He got called up to the NHL after the world Juniors played one game then got sent to the WHL. So not exactly the same but similar except Backlund was playing in SEL before comming to Calgary. |

True....how do you set the lines (assuming the Heat 4th line stays?)
Would love to see what he can do with Olli and GlenX |

That's what I would do. Keep him away from Iggy so he's playing against second pairing defense rather than top pairing. |
