Grabs is worth 5.5 - He is a Centre who can score/hit/make plays/kill penelties and has wants to win! He would have gotten 6 on the open market. These numbers are similar to Plekanec. Grabs is just as good as Pleks and now we have him for 5 years. Great signing by Burkie.

This contract stings, but there are valid points out there. Who else on the UFA market would we replace his production with, and if Burke knows he's going to be unloading Lombardi/Connolly/Armstrong, there will still be cap room for larger deals in the summer.

Oh and he has a modified NTC too....(frank)ing wonderful.
