Bryz was FABULOUS!!! And it was so cool to see. I wasn't afraid of him, but the team laid back a bit much for my liking in the third. But they were down a couple of forwards by then. Was so glad to see Read come back. And man he has jets.

He hasn't been suspended previously so it won't be that high. Maybe just a couple.
- MJL

i would be shocked if he gets suspended.... just my opinion

I have a feeling Briere will break out any game now. He is always one to step up when needed. With 21, 68 and 93 out, he is due to shift gears.
- Lexington Flyer

they need him to start scoring in a big way.
he does look close

What would be the chances of two wins in row with Lilja and Gusty as a pair a month ago? I would have said pretty low. But the team D starting with the goalie has been solid. Still, getting killed on faceoffs, a few too many turn overs and failed clears. But Bryz really bailed them out at key moments.
- Marc D

i actually like gus and lilja separately...together isn't something i would have been rooting for

gus had some rough spots tonight but overall i really like him and would like to see them keep him and let him develop

lilja, i don't understand the hate. he does what i expect him to do.

They played a fantastic 25 minutes of defense, after that the chances starting piling up. Partly due to being down 2 forwards. Bryz held them in the game over the last 30 minutes.

The anticipation save on Filppula in the last minute was spectacular.

Good point...but I think Buff was going in regardless, and forcing the refs to blow the whistle, but who can say.

imo a physical defenseman might get called every game, that doesn't really get my goat

Gus is going to be an NHLer. Maybe Toby Enstrom light, best case scenario.

Lilja does what he does. When the puck goes into the wall, he takes out his man. He isn't too often going to come out with the puck, but he eliminates his man which is effective.

And he can step in and play even when he has been out for 12 games in a row, which has value.

thank you... lets go after the Kronwall and leave a guy in front of the net wide open and score... the refs should have blown the whistle like Clement said.. Voracek was in a bad way..

The hit looked clean as a whistle to me, but I am confused about all this stuff about rule 48 and what constitutes a "vulnerable" position.

But on another topic, I really hope we can avoid the Pens in the first round. Crosby (now that it seems certain he will be back) and Malkin will carve this defense to pieces (even more than usual).

They better not let Grossman go away. It was a thing of beauty to see him completely shield Franzen and then slide him across the crease and away from the puck.

I thought Coburn sucked donkey balls today and Gusty lost every board battle I could see (I watched from right before the hit)
