In any event, let's get a PP goal here and tighten up the rest of the game. Two in a row without Mez and Kimmo would be pretty amazing

Are you kidding me? You need to look at the replay again. Jake's head is nowhere near that low. Kronwall is shorter than Jake, and standing almost upright when he hits him and his shoulder hit him in the face. Watch it again. You're dead wrong with this.

If Kronwall's shorter, which he is, then one of two things had to happen for Kronwall's shoulder to hit Jake in the visor. Either Kronwall jumped up, or Jake was leaning forward and down. What did you see? I know what I saw.

Giroux needs to stop doing that. Dazzling move as Jackson calls it. Sure, a dazzling move that ends up a turnover at the blue line.

Come on Klode.

i'm sorry, but i can't see how any knowledgeable hockey fan, in particular a flyers fan could think that hit by kronwall was clean. it was a cheap shot as he used trickery to lure his opponent into a vulnerable position, lined him up and to me it looked like his elbow followed through voracek's head. how is this type of play exactly what the nhl has been trying to rid itself of?

Yup- beat the first guy, then tried to pull a Jagr.

Just gain the red line, send it in, and then hit everything in white.

Looks like his head is up? He's certainly leaning forward because he is skating... his head being down effected his ability to see Kronwall well before the hit, but it doesn't really effect the point of contact. That's what I see anyways.
- eayost

He did raise it up at the last split second. Just soon enough to absorb the brunt of it with his visor. If he wasn't wearing a visor he'd have a broken nose. The ice would have been red.

My point was in rebuttal to the claim that ANY hit would have contacted Voracek in the head because it was Soooo low. It wasn't that low. A hip check, or simply dropping his own shoulder a little would have avoided the hit. That's what the video, and your still shots show. There is clearly room for Kronwall to have picked another spot to hit him. He didn't HAVE to hit him in the head.

And with that I'm done on this subject. Moving on....
