They should've never wasted a 2nd rounder on him in the 1st place.

The potential was there. They wanted Backes.. they settled for Boyes.

Boyes was tried there last year and it apparently didn't work.
Leino was tried there this season which is why we signed him and it didn't work.

Although didn't Boyes have like 5 goals and 10 points for us after he was traded here and then disappeared?

BTW

Thanks Chris Thorburn for making me eat a little crow last night.

Then again he couldn't even believe it went in himself.

You could see it on the bench.

"how'd you do that"

"I have no idea"

Backes was never available.

So what they wanted makes no difference.

Still was a waste of a pick.

In all fairness, a 2nd rounder wasn't a bad give up for a guy that had his kind of stats coming here.
We just didn't know he had an intestine full of barium sulfate.

Well he will be gone in 16 games. then we can look forward to having 2 1st and 2 2nds to get us rid of Vanek and Roy and bring in some new faces to win for Buffalo.

No he shouldn't. But Boyes is only still on the team because he can do draws on the 4th line. Foligno is a winger.

McCormick - Ellis - Foligno would be nice.

- JVince117

Sounds good to me.Lets get him a look tho and gear up for next season.

Roy will be gone.

Vanek I'm not so sure about.

Then again I might entertain Vanek+ for Stastny+.

Wingers are easier to come by.

Didn't Foligno play 1 game earlier this year and everyone said he looked really lost and confused out there.. I know he finished with no stats other than -1.

We are still playoff contenders so to just piss on that and bring up the AHL prospects to see how they would do is a bit premature.

Center and Goalie are the 2 hardest positions to bring in.

Vanek, Sekera, and a 2nd for Stastny, Downie's rights, and a 4th.

Keep the fires burning good for you.One reality remains true most of us will be longing for preseason hockey to begin again very soon.

once this season is over im going to be having hockey withdrawals, so i want the off season to be as short as possible, which means playoffs. so when we beat carolina and beat boston (because i will be there and they will win) we will be right back to eight or damn close to it.

Yes and to me he did but if hes the future lets see what hes got and to help us move towards the offseason.Just my opinion but we dont have a snowballs chance in making the playoffs now but we could finish strong and use what time we got left towards next season.

He is rugged though. he is Kaleta but can score.

I think Downie has like 6 points for Colorado since going there.

He's the best thats available.

I'll take a less of a cap hit to have Stastny and Hodson as my 1-2, than go through another season of Roy.

I agree.

Vanek, Sekera for Nash.

Roy, Adam, 1st for Staal, Getzlaf, Backstrom, Kopitar. (or like-type player)

or just trade Vanek to NSH for Colin Wilson and a pick. Then get Parise.

He's a blockhead, a wanna be Darcy Tucker.

Vanek+Stafford+ For Nash.

Roy For I dont really give a crap.

Pominville for A return like Roys.

That Line is awful.

Also. Line juggler Lindy WTF? The lines obviously were not working, yet for the first time in your 14 year carrer you keep them togerther?

/rant.

- ImThatGuy

because they won 3 straight before last night...when have you ever known Lindy to juggle lines when the team is winning? He doesn't
