This team shouldn't be afraid to play anyone.

They should be afraid of themselves.

like when I guy skates off quick to the bench so it won't be on the ice when other team is on an odd man rush.

It happens . The late forward back goes off on a change while the puck is going up ice. The forward jumps on to replace him, and gets a minus when he nothing to do with the breakdown.

The Devil's defense and goaltending in 2010 was no where near as good as boston's is now, and our team was much different then too... So it's not a very good comparison...

I'm kidding, of course, but there were plenty of players on my teams who did similar things. Funny in retrospect.

If he keeps playing like he did last night the Flyers can beat anyone. Granted they are a big If and Can, but it CAN happen.
Furthermore I just don't feel like the Rags are going to do much in the playoffs. I think they fizz out.

One well timed Rinaldo hit could turn the latter into the former Even if CRosby comes back, I don't see him being as big of an impact as he has been in the past, especially if he is facing Dmen like Grossman, Kubina, Mesaros, and Snarly playoff Coburn. Then when you have to account for Rinaldo as well...if he doesn't get some games in soon I don't see how he'll be himself in the playoffs. Then again Forsberg was a beast when he came back in the playoffs after missing time from getting his speen removed. Spleens and concussions are quite different animals though.

Hopefully the Rags choke come playoff time. I been saying that to my brother-in-law who is a Rags fan. You dont win championships in March.

They've got big expectations to live up to, with the season they've had. It seems to me anything short of making the last dance will be a disappointment. At the very least, they should make the ECF.

They are really digging down deep to win some of these regular season games too. I remember Hartnell saying something about that after one of the losses to them. It just seems like they've been playing playoff level hockey since Novemember. Can they keep it up or even turn it up another gear? maybe but I dont think so. I think they are falling right into the top Eastern Conference seed trap.

If they catch the bolts I think they are in trouble. If they get into the ECF I feel like then they go all the way. However Like I just said, before, I feel like they fall flat.

When you watch them they block shots like its a game 7. That's gotta take a toll sooner or later too.

The Rags have two things going for them...
1)Lundqvist
2) Great team defense

Those two things alone will help them come playoff time.

Health will be an issue for them. Is Cally's foot really a bruise? Or one of those sneaky fractures. And Hank must stay healthy or they're cooked. But that's true of nearly every team. The #1 goalie must stay healthy.

If the Flyers can play D like they did last night, and Bryz plays like he did last night, and the Offense keeps up its season pace, I would agree...

But like I joked around... The only thing the Flyer have to fear, is the Flyers themselves...

Of Course Lundquist is the most important person, but if any of thier top 6 forwards is hurt they are in trouble... They have been incredibly lucky with injuries to thier forwards... none of thier top 5 scoreres has missed a single game this year... Gabby and Richards are due...

If we had hank im pretty sure we would have 95 points and the rangers would be fighting for a playoff spot.

Torts is a hell of a coach tho

I don't know if its an issue of health with Lundy or just fatigue. He'll have well over 60 games under his belt maybe 70 going into the playoffs and I don't know if that's conducive to post season success. Samething with our very own Bryzgalov. Now that he has found his game, does lavy start playing Bob more? IMO I think Bryz gets 12 more starts and Bob gets the rest. In fact if Bob is playing awful in those last 6 starts don't even bring Bryz out. The heck with it keep him healthy and fresh for the playoffs.
