Yeah, I don't think like the expectation that he should be silent because of his struggles. I guess folks took it as him not taking the problems seriously like we do for some reason.
- BulliesPhan87

If people really watched what he was saying, they should have seen that he was very frustrated by his level of play and not rambling in non sequiters. Guess they were too busy working on their Borat accents.

Best way to break a slump is obviously to change your personality so idiots feel better that you're sad and brooding over a bad game or slump.

Pantera's Domination has that effect for me. I'll also accept Primal Concrete Sledge.

Well of course, didn't you see how much better he played when he was down in the dumps?

I understand that conclusion, I just don't agree with it. Philadelphia as a fan base seems to believe (in all four sports) that the team and players should ACT as miserable as they (the fans) feel about every failure. That if a player is NOT acting all miserable they somehow question his commitment or dedication to winning. When the fact is most elite athletes are great BECAUSE they are able to shake off bad performances and stay positive.

Therein lies the problem.

Yea like when he rips himself. Case in point the whole lost in the woods thing and when he blew up after the Tampa game. Im sorry but that endeared me to him. He didn't come out with some corporate answer about oh I have to play better and get into a better position to win blah blah blah. Instead he told it like it was. I didn't like he was lost in the woods but I understood it. All athletes get there.

Maybe I'm just weird i don't know. After listening to Richie's boring post game stuff and wanting to choke him for looking like he didn't care despite the bad results, Bryz has been a breath of fresh air to me.

I vaguely remember a 98 Degrees music video, probably can't name the song though. In fourth grade, I used to watch and get mad that KoRn's videos would lose to boy bands.

Yeah, I had a whole hell of a lot of growing up to do

Yea like when he got benched for the WC and said winning the Stanley cup is more important. Yet he was being lazy, selfish etc. etc.

See what you're saying. Me, I'm a cheerful optimist despite being a Philly fan. Mike Richard who I loved as a player bothered me because he appeard to be in pain win or lose when talking to the press. He should have taken a page from Pronger's "cheerful contempt" persona with the media. I'll walk back my "mouth shut" remark. If a guy is playing bad, sure it might be insightful, if he unloads. But with Bryz, I thought he was trying to shift blame too much and was looking foolish. Blame who you want.

I'm picky with Pantera. I either love the song or hate it.

As for these selections, they'll have to wait for when I get home. Convenient, since I'll need music for a workout.

If directed at me, I'm not an idiot and wasn't working on a Borat accent. Is it possible here to disagree without the name calling? I've been in and out of these boards for years and I was never compelled to call anyone an idiot.
