YES!!. It drives me nuts. Even in the Crazy Train riff he is adding it in all over the place. Enough dude. We get it.

It's a neat trick that the best guitarists use sparingly, but too much of a good thing... well, like you said, it drives me nuts!

Having listened to Randy Rhoads play it live, all Zakk seems to be doing is trying to out Randy RR's style of playing the song live.

I always looked at what Zakk brings to rock as what abstract brings to art

Taken aback for what? That is my whole point. It makes no sense to me.
- MBFlyerfan

I thought we agreed, jeez. Taken aback watching a guy play bad and then listening to him rable in nonsequiturs. They probably thought, like me, that the highest paid goalie in the nhl would play better and if he didn't he'd at least keep his mouth shut. The whole thing turned into a circus. Whether you agree is one thing but my point at least makes sense.

I don't mind it, it's just a tad off putting if done too often

Exactly.

I use it once in a while and when I do it SQUEALS!

Don't get me wrong Zakk is a kick ass guitar player, be he goes to that way too often. Every other note, especially in an iconic riff like that, just kills it for me.

I still think the best Ozzy Song and Riff/Solo is Bark At The Moon. Which incidentally is Jake E. Lee.

I never want him to keep his mouth shut. And I think the media getting in his head about being who he is got him off his game more than the other way around.

We're definitely on the same page here. Bark at the Moon has some incredible guitar work, probably my favorite Ozzy song.

yea I never got into them that much. They're more like thrash metal which to me is limited and gets tiresome.

Damn, I haven't heard Slayer in ages. Their method to soloing always was interesting. Straight up cacophony, it worked for them at least

The genre isn't my cup of tea, but I think in Slayer's case it works. Limited dosages.

Yeah, I don't think like the expectation that he should be silent because of his struggles. I guess folks took it as him not taking the problems seriously like we do for some reason.

I never got into Anthrax, but I really love the way their bass sounds. Really punchy, it really stands out in a guitar centric genre.

Heh I'd prefer over the mountain to Bark at the moon anyday. BUT it is all about preference I suppose, and I am a bit tone deaf so I don't knock your opinions.

I understand that conclusion, I just don't agree with it. Philadelphia as a fan base seems to believe (in all four sports) that the team and players should ACT as miserable as they (the fans) feel about every failure. That if a player is NOT acting all miserable they somehow question his commitment or dedication to winning. When the fact is most elite athletes are great BECAUSE they are able to shake off bad performances and stay positive.

Therein lies the problem.
